Hello Rockbrook!
An invitation from the principal of
Rockbrook Park School, Mark Hamilton, to
an Introduction Day for future students
on Friday, April 24, 3.30—5.15 pm
Choosing a secondary school can be difficult for young people. On the
outside all can look well, but what is it really like to go there? What do
students who actually go there think? What are the teachers like? How
will I get on?
Hello Rockbrook! is a two-hour introduction to Rockbrook Park School
for 3rd to 6th class students who might wish to attend here. Students
will meet present 1st and 2nd years who will explain the school to them
and provide them with a tour of the school and grounds. They will also
meet some teachers and have a short informal interview. Short tests in
English and Maths will also be conducted.
Your son is welcome to come to this event on Friday, April 24. He is also
welcome to bring a friend along if this will help make him feel at home.
We only ask that you give us a ring (01-4933204) or email
admin@rockbrook.ie to book his place. Parents wishing to follow up on
an application should contact the school secretary in the following
weeks.
FOR THOSE PARENTS WHO MISSED OUR OPEN DAY, YOU MAY WISH TO
STAY AROUND FOR THE PERIOD AND GET A TOUR OF THE SCHOOL ETC.
IF SO, PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE.
Parents can drop off their son after 3.15 pm (event commences at 3.30 pm) & collect him again at 5.15 pm.
Coming to this event does not involve a commitment to attend Rockbrook, but all students planning to attend
the School must come to one such event.
Parents intending to send their son to Rockbrook must meet with the principal in advance of a place being offered.
Such appointments can be arranged through the school secretary.
