_________________________________________________________________________________________ April 2015 Newsletter a community of businesses _________________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Chamber Members, Another successful RoRo has come and gone. We would like to thank the volunteers who worked so hard….we couldn’t do it without you. The help from MP Heating and Cooling was invaluable for loading in and running the overhead doors to move vendors in and out efficiently. A special thanks to Toni Brown of Stepping Stones for her cotton candy booth and Bob Nowicki for the enormous bounce house. Also to Honquest Family Funeral Homes, Beloit Health System Foundation, Michelle Fitzgerald of Century 21 Affiliated, Keith Wicklund of Cornerstone Wealth Management, Miller Eye Center, Jim Blevins, State Farm, Stepping Stones Child’s Center and Main Street Meats for their prize giveaway donations. The giveaway raised $514 and the cotton candy raised $278 for the RACC Scholarship Fund, a total of $792. Way to go! Also, we would like the Herald for publishing the RoRo guide, Rock disposal for their excellent services and the Macktown Lions for being such hard and willing workers. THANKS EVERYONE! By now you will have received (by mail or regular mail) the information about the proposed Roscoe-Rockton merge. There are two meetings scheduled, April 3 and April 9 for you to ask board members your questions. Votes must be cast by April 9. See the calendar below for dates and times. April 9 will be the first Women @ Work event of the year….a Spring Fling! at Vintage Petal. Come enjoy an informative talk about gardening from florist Sandy Spivey and a demonstration on making a spring door decoration, which will go to a lucky winner!
