HALF MARATHON 2015 Important Travel and Access Information - Sunday 10th May 2015 Vitality Run Hackney Half Marathon will be taking place on Sunday 10th May 2015 at 9am. Now in its second year, this exciting event expects to attract around 12,500 runners to the London Borough of Hackney, and many will be fundraising for local and national charities. Using Hackney’s streets for the race will cause changes to usual traffic routes, for a limited period, during the morning of Sunday 10th May. In planning this event, every effort is made to minimise the disruption caused due to the closure of roads. The route has been carefully considered and we are working in close consultation with the London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets, Transport for London, and all emergency services. Advanced Warning Signs will be installed 3 weeks prior indicating where the roads are closed.
