The Saint Vincent de Paul Society was founded by Blessed Frédéric Ozanam in the 1840’s while he was a law student at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. While there, he defended against those who mocked the church. They asked him “What do you do besides talk to prove the faith you claim is in you?” Frédéric decided that his words needed to be grounded in action. Soon after, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society was born. We thank you for your ongoing generosity toward those in need within our community. Please continue to donate your useable furniture, home décor items, small appliances and gently used clothing to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store. Monetary donations are always welcome as well. We are always in need of additional volunteers for the Thrift Store and in the Family Support Center. Please prayerfully consider volunteering an hour or two of your time to help those in need in our community. This is an excellent option for students and others interested in performing community service. Call (770) 443-1533 for the Support Center (On Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon) or Call (770) 443-1537 for the Thrift Store (Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) Knights of Columbus First Friday Fish Fry Thank you to all who came to the inaugural First Friday Fish Fry!
