DESCRIPTION:
SA Skate is an annual Interstate Competition for ladies and men, from
Aussie SkateTM through to Senior conducted in accordance with the rules
of ISA
VENUE:
IceArenA, 23 James Congdon Drive, Thebarton, SA
ICE SURFACE:
26m x 56m
DATES:
18th July (Saturday) and 19th July (Sunday)
TIMES:
Competition Times: 4.00–7.30pm (Saturday and Sunday)
Official Practice Times (ISA Levels only):
7.00–10.am (Sat), 8.00–10.00am (Sun)
Aussie Skate Practice: to be advised after close of entries
CLOSING DATE:
30th June (Tuesday)
DRAW:
Draw for initial start order will take place at the IceArenA on:
Saturday 11th of July at 10.00 am
DIVISIONS:
Singles: Preliminary to Senior and Adult
TM
Aussie Skate: Aussie Skate divisions including Sychro
Synchronized: all ISA levels
Please note: due to limited ice time entry numbers may need to be
restricted
ENTRIES:
All interstate entries must be submitted via ISA State Associations.
All entrants must be registered and insured members of ISA as
well as their State Association and affiliated club at close of
entries.
Entries will not be valid until the entry fee and form is received. Entry forms for divisions to be
marked using the International Judging System (IJS) will not be accepted without a completed PPC
form. (Skaters may submit any current PPC form). Completed synchronized team entries must be
submitted to SAISA by the team manager. No late entries will be accepted. See Music due date
overleaf.
Payment options: Cash will not be accepted. The preferred option for payments from SA entrants and
State Associations is via Direct deposit via electronic transfer, or by an over-the-counter deposit at a
BankSA. Email notification of a deposit will be appreciated.

Cheques/money orders should be made payable to SA Ice Skating Association Inc and can be posted to
the SAISA post box: PO Box 125, Oaklands Park, SA 5046.

Withdrawals/refunds:
No refund is available after the draw. A fee of
$20 will be withheld for withdrawals before the
draw and a medical certificate will be required.
PRACTICES:
ISA level fees include Official Practice. The
amount of time available is limited. A division
warm-up and one run-through of each program
will be allowed. Grouping of divisions may be
necessary. Aussie Skate practice to be arranged
after entries close.
REGISTRATION:
The official registration desk will be located
inside the coffee shop area. Competitors must
check in at the registration desk one hour
before the event. Please note that Public
Session will be running until 3.30pm.
MUSIC:
Due date: Music must be received before the
draw (ie. Before 11 July). Music must be handed
in to the music steward at each rink or deposited
at the IceArena skate school office. Local
coaches must have checked that their skaters’
music plays on the IceArenA equipment in the
DJ box prior to submitting it. There must be only
ONE track on the clearly labelled CD. The
competitor’s name, division, the program type
(short or free skate) and the length of the music
(not the program) must be written on the CD. A
spare working copy, readily accessible, must be
available at the practice and the competition.
Music must be picked up from the music
steward after the event. See also Aussie Skate
music below.

AUSSIE SKATE TM
Half ice will be used for Aussie Skate divisions
below Free Skate. Selections of 1-minute
background music will be supplied for these
divisions.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
ISA levels are as specified for this season by
ISA. The relevant documents can be accessed
from the ISA website (technical page) at
www.isa.org.au
MARKING & DETERMINATION OF RESULTS:
All marking will be closed marking. The 6.0 will
be used for Aussie Skate divisions. The ISU
Judging System will be used for ISA divisions
TROPHIES:
Medals will be awarded to all skaters.
PRESENTATIONS:
The presentation venue will be advised after
close of entries. All skaters please remain in
costume for photographs.
AFTER COMPETITION DINNER
ARRANGEMENTS:
To be advised after close of entries.
VIDEO RECORDING & PHOTOGRAPHY:
Photography and videotaping can give rise to
child protection concerns.
Flash photography is not allowed during the
event as it poses a danger to the skaters.
Private recording of the event is not allowed.
An Official Video (DVD) and photographs of
the event will be organized.
