2015 Rebates from Metropolitan and Regional Councils
The SALA Festival is delighted to announce support from local councils to assist artists exhibit during the 2015
SALA Festival.
2015 SALA Registration fees will be refunded, to artists in the following areas:

Adelaide City Council in partnership with the SALA Festival is again offering artists an artist fee subsidy in 2015.
This scheme acknowledges the role that artists and local venues play in the cultural life of the council area.
Subsidies of $110 are available to assist individuals and groups with the cost of registering for the SALA Festival.
Subsidies will be provided to artists who are:
•
residents of the Adelaide City Council who are exhibiting either in or outside of the Council area
•
artists exhibiting within Adelaide City Council
Subsidies will only be provided for costs associated with registrations for SALA, and will be provided to the first 30
applications received.
Artists must:

Register for SALA via the online form by May 18
Pay the relevant fee to SALA
Fill out the form here with a copy of the e-receipt received after payment and return to SALA, via email
or post.
Multiple applications may be considered. The closing date for applications will be May 25 2015.
Applications will be dated in order of receipt, and no correspondence will be entered into until the closing of
applications on May 25. Successful applicants will be advised from May 27 2015. Please see the application form

Adelaide City Council is proud to support the SALA Festival and acknowledges that the festival fosters creativity,
cultural and artistic events and activities. Artists receiving subsidies will be requested to display the Adelaide City
Council logo on any printed material acknowledging the support.
The City of Charles Sturt has established a ‘Special Opportunity Arts Grants for Individuals’.
The purpose of establishing this subsidy program is to provide up to $250 within a financial year to support
eligible individual residents in the City of Charles Sturt who are practicing and/or emerging artists or talented
amateurs, to take advantage of unique opportunities that may significantly benefit their work and/or career
development and as a consequence provide ongoing promotion and support for the arts in the City of Charles
Sturt community. Funding is available all year round.
Eligible individuals and groups may be assisted with the cost of registering for the SALA Festival via this grant.

The City of Marion is continuing its involvement with the SALA Festival by supporting and promoting emerging
and professional artists involved in the annual event. Council is supporting local artists taking part in the Festival
by subsidising artist registrations with a $110 capped rebate. Artists who do not reside within Marion but who
wish to register an exhibition in the Council area are also eligible to claim the rebate.
Eligible artists should pay their registration as normal to the SALA office then send a photocopy or electronic copy
of their receipt to

promoting emerging and professional artists involved in the annual event. Council is supporting local artists taking
part in the Festival by subsidising artist registrations with a 100% rebate.
Eligible artists should pay their registration as normal to the SALA office, then send a photocopy or electronic
copy of their receipt, along with a completed application form (contact 8405 6848 for a copy) to:

Registrations for the 2015 SALA Festival are open from now until May 18.
Artists who wish to take up this offer, must pay their registration as normal to the SALA office and then send a
copy of their receipt to the appropriate council contact person to claim the rebate. The rebate is available across
all artist registration categories including; group, premium and events.
Registration fees are GST inclusive and payable by the artist or venue:
Solo artist in a non conventional space (café, restaurant, etc)
