SMC SPONSORS RECYCLE &
SHRED PARTY DAY
Tuesday, March 17
Big Success!!
42 medical suites here at SMC took
advantage of this special event to clean, purge and
recycle paper items and old electronic equipment that
were plaguing their offices. Corodata and AERC, both
certified recycle companies, spent the day here on site,
helping to “lighten” the load for an eco-friendly
campus. 262 boxes of paper were recycled. Please let
us know if you would like SMC to do this annually.

Safety Message
Now that spring is here many people will be taking
their bicycles out of storage. Please remember to
perform a safety check on your bike or take your
bike to reputable repair shop. It is also important
to note that safety helmets need to be inspected
and replaced after their life cycle. Most bike shops
will inspect safety helmets.
Happy Trails Bike shop is a reputable bike repair
shop located on Branham Lane and Meridian
Avenue.
Trail Head is another one located on Union and
Camden Avenues.

TENANT SPOTLIGHT
Omid H. Javadi, M.D.
American Board of Surgery
American Board of Thoracic Surgery
Page 3
His professional medical goal is “to take care of the
whole person”, and this is evident in the specialty
areas that he has chosen – heart, vascular and lung.
Dr. Javadi was recruited by Good Samaritan Hospital,
which is what brought him to Silicon Valley.
Relocating to sunny California was an easy decision
for Dr. Javadi since he has so many family members
who already live here. He is married with two young
children, and he wanted very much for them to be
raised in California. If you ask what he does in his
spare time – he will tell you that he most enjoys
spending time with his family, especially sharing
good food around the dinner table.
Welcome Dr. Javadi! We are so glad you have
chosen to make your “new home” here at Samaritan
Medical Center. Anyone wishing to contact Dr.
Javadi, please call his office at (408) 356-7205.

Washington University School of Medicine in St.
Louis.
Upon completion of all his education and training
requirements, Dr. Javadi spent five years in private
practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. His career path
then took him to Chicago where he spent three
years as the Medical Director of Cardiac, Vascular
and Thoracic Services at VISTA Hospital. When
asked why he chose Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic
specialties, Dr. Javadi said that he enjoys the
complexity of the work, and likes to make a
