Incident Command System (ICS) 100 & 200
Course:
Richard Smith is instructing. ICS 100 is required training for all SAR persons.
ICS 200 is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage a small to
moderately-sized incident. You can attend either or both courses.
When:
ICS 100 Saturday, June 13 08:30 – 12:00
ICS 200 Saturday, June 13 12:30 - 16:30 and Sunday, June 14 08:30 – 16:30
Location:
DSAR Station located in Water Valley. Turn west from Highway 22 (between
Cochrane and Cremona) onto Highway 579. Drive for approximately 7.8 km and
turn into the first driveway on your left after the 50 km/h sign. The SAR Station is
behind the Fire/EMS station.
Cost:
There is no cost for the course, and lunch is provided. You are responsible for
your own accommodations.
You’ll
Need:
Pen and paper for class. Dress appropriately, as you are in a country
setting that can be muddy in the spring.
Where
To Stay:
Cochrane and Sundre are each about 30 minutes away and have several motels.
The Water Valley Saloon has a small number of rooms for rent. You can also
park your trailer on site. Please do not park at the fire hall.
