Funding has been made available by
the ‘Hengrove and Stockwood
Neighbourhood Partnership’ and the
‘Investing in Bristol Future Fund’ for a
scheme of highway improvements in
the Walsh Avenue area.
The main focus of the scheme will be

improvement of the pedestrian
facilities outside New Oak Academy,

on Walsh Avenue. As part of the
scheme, however, the parking
restrictions in the wider area are also

and the revision of these restrictions is
the focus of this consultation exercise.
Double yellow line restrictions are
proposed to be installed around a
number of junctions, the ‘School
Keep Clear’ markings on New
Fosseway Road are proposed to be
amended to make them the proper
lengths so as to be enforceable and
a parking bay on Petherton Road is
proposed to be shortened.
