Happy Easter to all of you as we count down to our
break that will be happening soon!
MEET THE HEADS OF STUDENTS
HEAD OF STUDENTS REPORT
1. Make sure you attend your classes - both lectures and
tutorials.
2. Make sure you check your SOLs messages, it is important
that you do this to ensure you do not miss any important
messages.
3. Make sure you know what the ‘key dates’ are for your
assignments – doing regular work means that you do not get
any nasty surprises with material that is due and you are not
prepared.
4. Do you have any mid session exams to study up for?
Have you made sure you know the structure of your midsession exam? If you do not know, go over the subject outline
and find out, or email your Subject Co-ordinator and ask for
information.
5. Have you taken the time to go and visit your subject
co-ordinator in their student consultation times? They are
there for you to come and ask questions. If you cannot visit
in person, please take the time to email or phone to make
sure you get your answers to the issues that concern you.
7. If at any time you are unsure of any issue please call into
Business Central and ask us - we are more than happy to talk
to you. Remember no question is too silly to ask.
We are always happy to help you with all your issues.

If you need to talk to one of the Heads

Congratulations to two of our Business
students winning the Pearson Student
Academic Achievement Awards for demonstrated
outstanding effort, dedication and achievement.
Postgraduate student, John Montgomery won in the category of
Management, Marketing, Decision Science and Business Law Science
while Dean’s Scholar student, Mai Anh Nguyen, took out Accounting,
Economics and Finance.
“I was so happy to be awarded first place,” said Mai Ahn. “I wanted to
enter a national competition so it has given me really good experience in
competing at a high level. The competition was about why you had chosen
your degree and the impact it will have on your life, so it was very easy for
me to showcase the University I love and my passion for accounting and
finance all in one.”
With a record amount of entries received in the competition, it’s a
fantastic achievement for our students to win in two separate
categories.
