As the evidence and benefits behind manual therapy increase, their utilization in the physical therapy profession
is becoming a very popular solution. Manual therapy is an important adjunct to any therapeutic exercise
program in order to achieve optimal short and long term outcomes. Somatic dysfunctions need to be addressed
in order to restore normal myofascial and joint mobility. Through a combined manual therapy and self-care
approach, a thorough treatment strategy can be implemented to speed recovery and enhance function.
