Chancellor State College’s Football / Futsal Academy is committed to providing students the opportunity to pursue their
interest, knowledge and skills in Football / Futsal. Our College provides young athletes that display talent in the area of
Football / Futsal the opportunity to participate in an exciting program that focuses on:
 technical skills
 team strategies
 sport specific fitness
 the use of technology in the training/performance cycle
 attaining officiating and coaching qualifications
Students that are successful in being admitted into this program will need to;
 submit homework / assignments by due dates in all subjects
 maintain minimum B standards for effort / behaviour across all subjects
 wear correct clothing for travel, class and games as advised
 attend morning training sessions as scheduled or give notice in advance
 play by the rules of the game
 help in training / class by staying safe and following all instructions



















Classes
New members will have an additional $23 fee to pay for training kit (shirt, shorts, socks)
Year 5–6 students will have a one hour session on Friday afternoons through Term 1, 2 & 4. The focus of this class
is on functional game skills in possession of the ball (passing and receiving, running with the ball, 1v1, first touch).
Cost = $10 / year.
Year 7–8 Students will have two seventy-minute lessons a week within the timetable. The focus of this class is on
functional game skills and skills transfer (special attention for passing drills and heading) along with positioning in
games. Cost = $60 / year.
Year 9–10 Students will have two/three seventy- minute lessons per week within the timetable. The focus of this
class is on transitioning in training games, positioning games and 1-4-3-3 formation. Cost = $60 / year.
Year 11–12 Students will have one theory lesson per week to work on Certificate III Sport & Recreation and two
practical lessons within the timetable. The focus of this class is on Football specific conditioning and advanced
positioning games. Cost = $230 for two year Certificate III course).
Year 7–12 Applications / Trials
24 June 2015 = Deadline for applications from students who live outside of the college enrolment boundaries.
15 July 2015 = Deadline 1 – Applicants will be notified of details of Trial 1
29 July 2015 = Trial 1 (Term 3, Week 3)
2 September 2015 = first list of successful applicants distributed via email.
21 October 2015 = Deadline 2 – Applicants will be notified of details of Trial 2 (for new applicants & those not
accepted from Trial 1)
11 November 2015 = Trial 2
18 November 2015 = second list of successful applicants distributed via email.
27 January 2016 = Deadline 3 – Applicants will be notified of details of Trial 3 (for new applicants who are
enrolled at Chancellor)
29 January 2016 = Trial 3
1 Feb 2016 = final list distributed via email
Mid year applications are accepted but performance expectations are much higher.
Year 5–6 Applications / Trials
January – Applications for positions will be available from Primary Sports Coordinator, website, office or via email
request
January / February – Applicants will trial on Friday afternoon 2-3pm in weeks 1 to 3.
Competition Opportunities
Chancellor students (in the FFA or not) will have the opportunity to trial to be part of college teams to compete in a
range of tournaments throughout the year. Each event has a cost associated.
