Sarah Schadek - School Nurse
Greetings from Nurse Sarah!
I’m really enjoying my first year here at St. Albert the Great! Getting to know all
the great students and families has been a real positive experience.
This past week, the St. Albert Nutrition Services hosted a nutrition fair for all the
students. I participated in the fair by displaying how much sugar is in popular
drinks and getting kids to “RETHINK YOUR DRINK”. Ask your children what
they learned about regular soda, sports drinks and chocolate milk!
Hopefully you will have noticed they are drinking a lot more water!!!
Just a few reminders from the clinic….We are still in “flu season”. If your child
has a fever or is throwing up, they are to be free of these symptoms for 24 hours
before they can return to school. This should be determined without the use of
fever-reducing medications such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
Eating a healthy balanced diet which includes plenty of fruits and vegetables,
drinking plenty of water and getting a good night of sleep is a recipe for a student
ready to learn!

March 26th-29th @ 7:00!
James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook
characters and bring them together for a timeless yet relevant piece and
rare modern classic. The TONY Award-winning book and score are both
enchanting and touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to
have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack
who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that
they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a
journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences
of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. For more information visit
