NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
Dear Parents,
Yearbooks are being sold for the school year 2014-2015.
For the discounted price of $30 your child will have a
book full of wonderful school memories. Anyone who
purchases a book by tomorrow will earn a Dress
Down Day next Monday, March 30th. The price of the
yearbook will be $35 starting Monday, March 30th.
Tomorrow is the deadline for the Mother/Son event at the
Reading Phillies on Friday, April 17th. Tickets for the
game are $25 which includes admission into the game, a
buffet and a fleece blanket and fireworks afterwards. Tee
shirts for the occasion are being sold as well. These
orders are due tomorrow. If you have any questions
please contact Renee Files or Julie Wright.
Easter vacation will begin on Wednesday, April 1st with an
11:30 dismissal. Just a reminder that Great Valley
School District will bus in the AM but not at 11:30. If
you live in Great Valley then you need to pick up at
11:30. School will resume on Wednesday, April 8th.
We will not being have a Bulldog next week. I hope you
and your family have a wonderful and blessed Easter.
With Holy Week starting next week please try to attend
the different Holy Week services in your parish. This is
the holiest time of the year as a Catholic and the greatest
day is on Easter Sunday when the Lord rises from the
dead. Alleluia. Alleluia, Alleluia!

DID YOU KNOW?

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT:
As part of our recent reading unit that focuses on
"uniqueness", along with our love for reading, 3A
designed and created unique cereal boxes based on
the characters, setting, and plot of books we have
just read.
Introducing our newest little Bulldog.
Arlana (Arli) Fitzgerald was born Monday,
March 23rd at 10:16 AM weighing 7.15 lbs. and
was 20.5" long.
We will be presenting our boxes to our classmates in
the form of a commercial, in hope that we can
encourage others to want to try out a new book!
Cayetano (K) and his brother Sebastian are
both really good and sweet big brothers.

Fitzgerald Family!!

St. Norbert School 5th grader Liam Sargent swam
in the state swimming championships. He won 2
bronze medals for the medley and freestyle relays
and placed 8th in the 50 meter breaststroke and the
100 meter breaststroke. Congratulations, Liam!

CROSS-CURRICULAR INSTRUCTION:
SNS combines English Language Arts and Social Studies.
This past Saturday, March 21st, the Chester County Historical Society welcomed 29 Saint Norbert teams to compete in the National History
Day 2015 Regional Competition. Kudos go to 45 sixth, seventh and eighth grade students, who spent the day performing exhibits,
documentaries and stage performances. 10 students placed and are eligible to continue to the Pennsylvania State Competition.
Winners in the Junior Individual Performance:
Annemarie O'Brien placed first for:: Parity, No Parasols: Betty Friedan and The Feminine Mystique.
Kirsten Grey placed third for: Lucille Ball: A Comedienne for the Good, the Bad, and the Red.
Katie Murphy took honorable mention for: Harriet Tubman: The Underground Experience
Winners in the Junior Group Performance:
Lindsey Barnes and Hannah Posca placed first for: Helen Keller: More than a "Miracle Worker" in Movies.
Kate Fitzgerald and Courtney Keith placed second for: Susan B. Anthony: Fight the Fight for Women's Rights.
Christina Paski and Ashlynn Massimiano placed third for: William Penn: Pennsylvania Founder and Freedom Fighter.
Winners in the Junior Group Documentary:
