Ekspot™ nanoLC-MALdI spotter System Specifications Coupling NanoLC to MALdI mass spectrometry results in an extremely powerful tool for the analysis of complex peptide and/or protein samples in proteomics. Use the Ekspot™ nanoLC-MALdI spotter in combination with our ekspert™ nanoLC 400 and ekspert cHiPLC® systems for a flexible and reproducible nanoLC-MALdI system. Single point control One software program controls both the NanoLC and the Ekspot, providing simple setup of methods and sample batches. A UV signal from any UV detector with analog output can be used to monitor the separation using an optional Ad converter. High resolution spotting Spotting can be done with a frequency of max. 1 spot every four seconds in order to optimize resolution. In combination with the ekspert™ nanoLC 400 and cHiPLC’s separating power you will have the most advanced LC-MALdI system available. Maximize throughout The Ekspot holds up to 8 micro-titer plate sized targets, for use with the AB SCIEX TOF/TOF™ 5800 System and the 4800 Plus MALdI TOF/TOF™ Analyzer. Adapters for other MALdI mass spectrometers are available as well. Flexible design In addition to spotting on a variety of MALdI MS targets, the Ekspot can also be used as a micro-fraction collector for applications such as off-line multi-dimensional separations. A unique routine is used to “touch-off” droplets against the wall of a collection vial or well. Built-in matrix delivery pump The Ekspot is designed to deposit fractions eluting from a NanoLC column onto a MALdI target, and the MALdI matrix is automatically mixed-in post column.
