JULIE YOUKO ANNE CACHIA
Julie is truly an international student, born in France, having lived Japan, and now an undergraduate student in an
honors program at New York University in Manhattan. She has lived in the US for 7 years and recognizes differences in
the cultures. Related to her psychology studies, she currently works in a NYU research lab studying motivation and plans
to pursue graduate studies in social psychology, focusing on self-regulation from a cross cultural perspective. While her
work now involves quantitative methods, she realizes the importance of adding skills in qualitative methods to explore
cultural aspects of global concerns. In spite of a busy schedule, she has enjoyed many opportunities in Manhattan
including an NYU international student group, museums, galleries, and classical concerts. Her hobbies include yoga,
reading, and running. Julie is a very welcome, recent addition to Division 52.
