The Professional and English Programs (PEP) division is a newly formed division within Navitas
resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division.

programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills and careers. We offer an extensive
range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline
areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Nursing, Communicty Services, English Teacher Training and
Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers training and business solutions to employers to
meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled employees and provides learners and clients with
relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work experiences and support in their career
development and working lives.
Introduction to the Role
This role works closely with the NPI Marketing Director and Marketing Managers, with responsibility for
writing engaging content for online and offline promotional materials. They will also edit, revise and
proof-read existing content and assist with other marketing activities ac required.

Develop impactful and engaging content aligned to target audiences for online marketing materials
including the NPI websites, emails, online directories/guides, blogs etc.

Find and develop new ideas for web and other content.

Write impactful content for promotional material including brochures, guides, flyers and
presentations.

Ensure all content writing is user-friendly, highlights the unique benefits of NPI colleges and online
material is key-worded for SEO benefit.

Develop interesting content for newsletters including students, career advisors and international
agents.

Liaise where necessary with the appropriate subject matter experts.

Edit and revise all promotional materials including the NPI websites, brochures, emails, guides,
flyers and presentations.

Proofread all online and offline promotional materials.

In consultation with the Marketing Director, NPI ensure that all marketing and promotional
materials are updated in line with relevant policies

Develop engaging content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

Assist in moderating and responding to user-generated content such as messages on Facebook,
Blogs, Twitter and Linkedin.

Ensure that all activities in relation to the setup, maintenance, posting, administration and removal
of information on Facebook pages and Group pages (whether at business unit or Navitas level) are
executed in line with the Navitas Guide to Administering Facebook Groups and Pages and Navitas
Social Media Policy.

Ensure the NPI brand guidelines are used and managed consistently throughout internal and
external communications.
Essential Skills & Experience

An undergraduate qualification in marketing, journalism, professional writing, communications or
related discipline.

Superior communication skills, especially written.

Experience in creating content for websites, blogs, brochures and social media.

Familiarity with internet marketing and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) or web development.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to write engaging online content and position the NPI colleges in a compelling way.

An ability to work proactively and with a moderate level of autonomy.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to deliver results on message, on
brand, on time and on budget
Desirable

Knowledge of the higher education industry.

Experience in an agency environment

resulting from the merger of the Navitas Professional Division and the Navitas English Division. The
combined PEP division was formally launched on 1 July 2013 and has approximately 1000 FTE staff and
turnover of approximately $200m.
For more than 20 years, Navitas Professional has been developing and delivering courses and
programs for students looking to advance their knowledge, skills and careers. We offer an extensive
range of Nationally Accredited courses from Certificate to Masters level in a wide range of discipline
areas such as Psychology, Counselling, Nursing and Criminal Justice. Navitas Professional also delivers
training and business solutions to employers to meet their requirements for “work-ready”, skilled
employees and provides learners with relevant, practical tertiary and vocational skills, work
experiences and support in their career development and working lives.
For students intending to study English, Navitas English is Australia’s largest provider of English
Language training with 29,000 students and clients across 18 teaching centres. The division is a
leading provider of English language, settlement and work preparation programs for migrants and
refugees with more than 21,000 clients in FY12.
