ACCESS STATEMENT FOR SEADOWN HOLIDAY PARK
INTRODUCTION
We strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation,
facilities and surroundings within the park. Our aim is to help in
anyway that we can and if you require any assistance during your
stay or whilst planning your visit we will be delighted to assist.
Our current facilities and services offered are:PRE-ARRIVAL
We cater for tents, touring caravans and have privately owned
static caravans.
Our brochure is available on request and we can post a copy of this
access statement if required.
We offer fax, email, and staff always accept Type Talk calls.
ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES
Reception area has a tarmac car park to front.
Accessible parking bays are available in close proximity to
reception and shop.
All bays are 4 metres wide and allow for rear access to vehicles.

All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction
point.
Signs are brown with large white writing.
MAIN ENTRANCE AND RECEPTION
Access to reception (and shop in the same building) is directly
from the car park there is a ramp and steps to the entrance.
Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in
reception.
PUBLIC AREAS – GENERAL (INTERNAL)
Tarmac roads service all parts of the park and speed ramps are
placed every 50 metres.
PUBLIC PLACES – WC
The park has a toilet and shower block situated in the touring field.
Both toilet and shower blocks have one step entry, ramp available
if required. Grab rails are provided in each shower in the block.
3 parking bays are provided outside the toilet and shower blocks,
they are 4 metres wide.
LAUNDRY
3 accessible parking bays (4 metres wide with rear access)
There are 3 front loading washing machines .

Iron and on switch is accessible from seating position. Ironing
board is attached to the wall.
Hand wash sink is standard height, unit underneath.
SHOP
The shop is in the same building and shares the same entrance and
parking as the reception.
Access is directly from the car park.
There is a ramp and steps to the entrance.
The shop is on one level.
There is room within for a wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn.
Staff will offer assistance if required.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES
There is a children’s play area which has no gate.
The surface of the play area is grass with no play equipment
provided.
Picnic area located close by and the ground is level.

WASHING UP AREA
Step up to entry to kitchen.
Work surfaces are standard height
Five sinks with mono block mixer taps.
CARAVANS
Static caravans have 2 or 3 or 4 steps to the main entrance, all
caravans have a step with handrail.
Each comprise of 2 or 3 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6
guests. All have Shower room, lounge and kitchen. All have their
own parking spaces and small area of grounds by the side of them.
All our caravans are no smoking and in some dogs are allowed
(please specify on booking).
TOURING FACILITIES
We have several pitches for tents and touring caravans and
assistance can be offered.
Please specify on booking if you would like to be near the
facilities. All pitches are level grass.
The park has one toilet block which is situated at the end of the
touring field.
The toilet blocks for male and female guests have a step up for
entry with shower, toilet and wash facilities which are accessible

only to those sleeping in touring field (key provided on arrival to
park for duration of stay). Ramp for entry available if requested.
There is a separate washing up and food preparation area with sink
and draining area. (1 step up)
We have level grass pitches, and some gravel hardstanding pitches.
Parking on the grass beside your caravan or tent is allowed .
Assistance in pitching on arrival is always offered.
There are 2 water points, with 1 chemical toilet disposal point, 1
dustbin area, 3 recycling bins and 3 fire points which are no further
than 50 metres away from any pitch.
Pitches are allocated on arrival and staff are happy to advise on the
location and suitability for your requirements on enquiry.
GROUNDS
The park is spacious, the distance from the main entrance to the
beach at the bottom of the park is approx 300m the width of the
park is 200m.
The route through the park to the beach is level over grass.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Mobile telephone coverage is average in this area but there is a
public telephone just outside entrance to park.
There is a local bus service at the end of the road 30metres from
the park entrance and local accessible taxis service the park.
