Course Description A Kaizen Event (or Blitz) creates rapid and radical change within three to five days. This course will explain how to lead a team of people to quickly make improvements within a defined area of your business, and then do it again at a later date, or a different department. An Event can be performed in manufacturing, shipping, sales, customer service, and even in finance and accounting. In fact, every part of an organization can be quickly improved via an Event. Course Director Demetrios G. Venetis is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black with over 25 years of professional experience in the field of Operational Excellence, such as Lean and Six Sigma. He has taught, mentored, and coached over ninety Six Sigma Black Belts and seventy Six Sigma Green Belts, from three continents, and diverse functional backgrounds ranging from hourly associates, engineers, managers, and executives. Many of his students and protégé have cut manufacturing defects by 50-75%, and increased production output, in the range of 25% to 75% within six months of initiation. He has created and operated his own manufacturing company; and has hands on experience in sales, quality, manufacturing, and process engineering. As a consultant, he has interacted with companies from one man shops to 500+ employee operations. Mr. Venetis has academic experience presenting a wide array of training and educational programs in colleges as well as courses, workshops and seminars for manufacturing companies. He is experienced and a proven leader in increasing organizational profitability. He holds a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Lowell, an MBA from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and invested two years on a Ph.D. in Business Management from the University of Connecticut (the degree is incomplete).
