• Deadlines:
PLS employs a rolling admissions policy. PLS will accept up to 60 students.
• Decisions:
Admissions Decisions are released as applications are completed.
To complete the online Application Form, you will need the following:
□ Applicant and Parent/Guardian contact information
□ High School Information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
□ Two Recommenders: You will be asked to provide contact information (name, position, school e-mail
address, and phone number) for two current or recent teachers who will complete letters of
recommendation on your behalf.
□ Test results for PSAT, SAT, ACT are optional, but highly recommended.* Students who do not speak
English as their first language will also be asked to supply TOEFL results.
□ A description of your responsibilities and involvement in three separate school activities.*
□ A description of any other honors and activities.*
□ An essay (not exceeding 300 words) describing a leadership moment of personal importance to you.*
□ $100 non-refundable application fee, to be paid online by credit card or personal check at the time of
application. Must be paid in order to submit and save application data.
*IMPORTANT!: We recommend having all of the data above prepared before you proceed to your
application. Application pages will time-out after 20 minutes of inactivity. Application data will not
be saved until you have worked through all pages and submit your form by paying your application
fee on the last page of the online form. Please be advised that, once submitted, you will be able to
access your application to make changes or add information.
To complete your Application for Admission, you will need to submit all of the following:
□ Copy of official high school transcript including Fall 2011 Grades.
□ School Profile, available through your guidance or administrative office
□ Two letters of recommendation completed by current or recent teachers.
After submitting your application, we will e-mail each teacher. Please be sure to follow up with each to
confirm that they have received a Letter of Recommendation Request e-mail from law@jkcp.com. If the email is not delivered within 24 hours, please suggest that they check spam and junk mail folders. If the email is not located, please contact Carrie Kayser at law@jkcp.com.
□ Copies of Official Test Score Reports to support all test results listed on your application. Standardized, test
scores are optional but highly recommended.
