Location: Sainik School Balachadi is situated 35 Kms away from Jamnagar (Gujarat). The
nearest railway station of this School is Jamnagar which is approximately five Kms away from
State Transport Depot Jamnagar. Hapa Railway Station is 5 Kms short of Jamnagar and is
nearest to the School. Hapa is on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Jamnagar broad gauge line. Regular
State Transport bus leaves from Jamnagar ST Depot at 0730 hours daily for Sainik School
Balachadi. Besides this, taxi/auto rickshaws are also available from the town. If you miss the
first bust at 0730 hrs, you may not be able to reach before 0900 hrs. Hence you are advised to
plan your arrival accordingly
ABOUT SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI.
A Jewel among twenty four others all over the country, Sainik School Balachadi is situated at a
very picturesque and pleasant nook of Jamnagar. The land and some buildings of His Highness
the Jam Saheb of Nawanagar which was handed over to the state government to be used by the
school are still resplendent with their past glory and fame. Sainik School Balachadi is the only
school of its kind in the State of Gujarat providing residential, military biased, CBSE education
to the youth of this state. This is more popularly known as a feeder institution to the prestigious
National Defence Academy. The School was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Shri Lal
Bahadur Shastri in July 1965 at Balachadi, 30 km away from Jamnagar. Situated along the sea
shore, Balachadi provides an ideal and beautiful locale for good residential education. The 291
acres of land is spotted with different flora and a much wider variety of fauna.
