ROP Student Testimonials “Working with Professor Green in SOC299Y5 allowed me to step outside the classroom and get more hands on experience about how research is conducted.” Huda Saifullah “As part of my ROP (ENG399Y5) work with Professor Gillespie, I accompanied her to England in December, 2008 to assist with her work at manuscript libraries there. I applied to the ROP program with the expectation of working closely alongside a professor and developing vital research skills, thereby becoming acquainted with the standard of scholarly work conducted at higher levels of academia…[the opportunity] surpassed my initial expectations of the ROP experience…” Devani Singh “I was grateful for being given a chance to work one -on-one with my professor. This ROP experience gives one a glimpse of the research a faculty member goes through on a daily basis. It also gives one a chance to engage in work that is far more hands on than other offered courses.” Saima Ramzan Lynn Snowden Assistant Dean, University of Toronto Mississauga “At each of the ROP fairs, I talk with students about their projects and their experience. For all of them, it was a tremendously positive experience, some saying they would do the course over and over again, they enjoyed it so much.
