Our Story
EcoKids is a children’s consignment boutique designed to support The Learning Lamp’s free after school programs for low-income
children. It’s also a great place to outfit your kids in cute clothes at prices well below retail. The store accepts gently worn, brand
name baby and children’s clothes, shoes, outerwear, accessories, toys, furniture and anything else you need to raise a little one. It
is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with consignments accepted daily. When you consign with EcoKids, you
receive 50 percent of the sale price of your items. The remaining 50 percent supports our after school programs and is tax deductible. Families may also choose to donate items, with 100 percent of the proceeds supporting children’s programs. Consigning is
easy. Follow the simple instructions provided here.
How EcoKids Works
Anyone is welcome to participate. In fact, we’d be very glad to have you as a consignor! Review the instructions, fill out the Consignor Agreement, and drop it off or mail it to EcoKids, 2025 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904. You may also fax it to (814) 2620837.
Consignors earn 50 percent of the sale price of each item. The remaining 50 percent is tax deductible. A letter documenting the
amount of your annual donation will be mailed prior to February 1 of the following year. Checks will be sent at the end of each
month. A minimum $25 account balance is needed to automatically process a check. Amounts less than $25 will be carried over to
the next month. Accounts will be settled annually, and you will receive a check in January for any money remaining on your account
from the prior year. Consignors may use their account balance as store credit or receive a check. It’s totally up to you.
All items have a 90 day selling period. Items not sold after 30 days are automatically reduced by 25 percent, and 50 percent after 60
days. You can choose to pick up your unsold items after 90 days, or we will donate the remaining items to the charity of our choice.
EcoKids reserves the right to mark down items with stains or damage not noticed prior to placement on the sales floor. EcoKids
offers a 14 day pick-up window to retrieve unsold items. Items left beyond that timeframe will become the property of
EcoKids.
How to Bring in Your Stuff

Consignors must make an appointment to bring their items for review. Please call (814) 266-0111 to schedule. We will review
your items at the time of your appointment. The amount of items you may bring to an appointment is limited to three bags, boxes
or totes. If you bring a large amount, we will review your items within a week of drop-off. We will accept the items we think will
sell. Items that are worn or are not current will be returned. Please do not be offended if we return an item to you. Our experience has helped us gain an understanding of what sells well, and what is not likely to sell. These “no thank you” items must
be picked up within 14 days, otherwise they will be donated. If we do not accept an item, you may still sell at our bi-annual
Children’s Consignment Sale.

EcoKids accepts seasonal children’s clothing from newborn to size 16 and seasonal maternity clothes. We accept new or nearly
new shoes, children’s sporting goods, children’s accessories, children’s furniture, toys, and baby gear such as high chairs and
strollers. If you have a question about whether we accept an item, call us. We’d be happy to provide you with guidance over
the phone.

All items must be clean. Clothes and bedding should be freshly washed. We will accept current styles and select vintage items.
Clothes must be free of stains, holes, odors, and wrinkles.
