Why Costa Rica?
Because it is a blessed country with beautiful
beaches, active volcanoes and exuberant wildlife…
or could it may be for its peaceful tradition and the
genuine hospitality of its people?...
Anyway…let´s find out…
CLOSE AND PREFERRED… Whether coming from the United
States, Canada or Europe, flying to Costa Rica has never been
easier! Visitors can reach here in only 2.5 hours from Miami and
five hours from Toronto. Costa Rica’s two international airports
serve 15 foreign airlines and an estimated 378 flights per week
at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and 53 at the
Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR).
During the past two years, Costa Rica has been selected more
frequently by numerous tourism industry leaders and by
recognized international publications as the best destination for
adventure, sports and honeymoons.
OUTSTANDING VALUE AND SELECTION…Costa Rica boasts an
excellent selection of services and infrastructure; from 5 star
resorts to unique boutique hotels, creative and experienced
DMC’s, the latest in deluxe transportation, multilingual tour
guides, venues for theme events and fine dining. All this is
available in a tropical setting for an outstanding value,
because the Costa Rican economy is not wholly dependent
upon tourism.
Costa Rica grows and produces its own vegetables, fruits and
meats, avoiding expensive imports and helping to reduce the
expenses of your program.
Many options…
As a destination, Costa Rica offers a wide range of activities,
including natural experiences like walks through the national
parks, volcanoes and reserves; floating in the rapids of a river,
canoeing, or enjoying the therapeutic effects of hot springs.
Other options of interest include learning about the farming,
milling and preparation of coffee, visiting gardens to enjoy an
amazing variety of butterflies, playing golf on a modern, firstclass course, or simply daring to soak up the energizing effects
of the tropical sun. After a busy or a restful day, you can finish it
off with a delicious dinner under the stars to the rhythms of
calypso.

Guanacaste (North Pacific)
Sunny and breezy for most of the year, it is a land of volcanic peaks, wooded valleys, beautiful waterfalls
and hot springs, and national parks and wildlife refuges rich in flora and fauna, where you can enjoy
beaches, bird watching, horseback riding and admire the Guanacaste and Tilarán mountain ranges.
Whether you visit during the dry or the rainy season, both provide great advantages.
Guanacaste is a land of culture and folklore, cattle ranches, dark-skinned local cowboys, and
picturesque towns.
The Gulf of Papagayo, another well-known region, comprises the area between
Ocotal Beach and the Papagayo Peninsula. Here you will find the Four Seasons Resort and the upbeat
towns of Coco Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Panama Beach, as well as the Hilton Papagayo hotel.
The surroundings of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park combine tropical dry forest, waterfalls
and volcanic activity. The area is well known by bubbling mud pots, little geysers, hot springs and a
whole host of wildlife.
From November to April, the province gets almost
no rain and the sun hits hard, however, cool winds
from the north lower the temperatures pleasantly
along the coast from December to February.
From May to October, the warm weather remains,
but accompanied by occasional rain, usually in the
afternoon.
Dry season in Guanacaste is longer than elsewhere
in Costa Rica.

The beaches of Conchal, Tamarindo and
Avellanas extend southward from Potrero to
Hacienda Pinilla, where the JW Marriott Resort is
located. Conchal Beach is home to the Westin

region, and where the Hacienda Pinnila is

kayaking, running the rapids, canopy tours and hiking are some of the activities that visitors can choose
from. Come swim at some of the most beautiful and pristine palm tree-lined beaches o just relax in a
hammock enjoying the ocean breeze. Set your sail for a tropical island or take a sunset cruise. Marvel at
the clear blue waters while snorkeling, windsurfing or sea kayaking; let your adrenaline surge while
whitewater rafting a swollen river, or feel the intense energy of catching a blue marlin on a deep sea
fishing expedition.
The region comprises the area between Tárcoles and Herradura Beach, where Villa Caletas and Los
Sueños Marriott hotels are respectively located, as well as Jacó Beach and the well-known Manuel
Antonio National Park to the south.
The Doubletree Resort by Hilton Puntarenas,

PURA VIDA!!
Costa Rica, The Happiest Place on Earth
According to a survey developed by a nongovernmental British group that devised an
equation
to
measure
people’s
life
expectancy and happiness against their
environmental impact, Costa Rica is the
happiest place on earth and one of the
most environmentally friendly.
“Pura vida!” is a life style, an expression that conveys
the state of happiness, greeting, appreciation,
peace and freedom of the TICOS.
Costa Ricans are known as “TICOS”. We strive to be kind people; we love social values; family
and friends the most important ties in our lives
