Canadian ICT Partnering Mission to Hong Kong
April 12 – 17, 2012
The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong, in partnership with The Hong Kong Trade
Development Council (HKTDC) and The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in
Canada, invites Canadian companies to participate in the International ICT Expo
(http://ictexpo.com) scheduled for April 13-16, 2012 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition
Centre: As a panel exhibitor sharing the space and facilities with other exhibitors of the
Canadian Pavilion at the International ICT Expo; or
 As an individual exhibitor renting an individual booth; or
 As a trade visitor
All of the Canadian delegates will also be invited to join a business program specially designed to
increase their access to partnership and business opportunities in Hong Kong, Mainland China
and the region.

About the International ICT Expo (http://ictexpo.com)
The International ICT Expo is an annual exhibition with conferences and seminars organized by
the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is co-organized by the Torch High Technology
Industry Development Centre - Ministry of Science & Technology, the People’s Republic of China and the
Office of the Government Chief Information Officer - The Government of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region. It has established itself as the leading information and communications event
platform in Asia. Buyers, industry players and companies from around the world come to the Expo
looking for solutions, partners and outsourcing opportunities in the Greater China region. It is a
“one-stop” B2B venue for exhibitors to establish contact with clients from the region and explore
business partnerships with resellers and distributors.

At the April 2011 International ICT Expo, there were 577 exhibitors from 16 countries & regions
(including group pavilions from Mainland China, Australia, Canada, India, Taiwan, and the
Philippines). More than 29,800 visitors from over 100 countries & regions actively participated in
the event.
A Client Satisfaction Survey was conducted after the Canadian ICT Partnering Mission in April
2011 and key findings indicated that:





100% were very satisfied/satisfied with the event in terms of accessing new markets, and
opportunities provided for networking with potential customers and decision-makers;
100% found the business matching session very useful/useful;
91% found the event contributed very much to their understanding of foreign markets, potential
buyers and business opportunities;
82% were confident that the event contributed to a positive financial impact for the company;
81% were very satisfied/satisfied with the support received in identifying sales leads; and

2012 Mission deliverables
Mission members will benefit from the full range of value-added activities including: exhibiting at
the Canadian Pavilion at ICT Expo 2012, a market briefing, a business seminar where delegates
introduce their companies to a HK business audience, pre-arranged business matching service, and
the various ICT Expo Conferences and Seminars. These are designed to facilitate the delegates in

Cost of Participation
There is no registration fee required to join this delegation. However, confirmed delegates are
responsible for their respective airfares, hotel accommodation (other than the pre-approved
sponsored nights), and incidental expenses.
