In the 16 years from 1994 to 2011, ca 275 students from 26 different countries have finished a 2 years MSc in hydropower in the HPD program. Some of the countries are: Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Phillipines, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Timor Leste, Malawi, Chile, Brazil and Norway.
