Project Overview: The Tuberculosis (TB) Prevention Project is a cooperative agreement with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the national TB and multi-drug resistant TB program in Georgia. The project will facilitate implementation of strategies to improve case detection and strengthen and expand treatment for TB. The project acts as a mechanism to adapt and integrate cost-effective and successful tools and approaches, which have the potential to achieve a measureable impact, and help in integrating these at the facility and regional levels. URC LLC intends to hire a regional coordinator who will support the project implementation in Tbilisi, Mtskheta-Mtianeti; Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Roles and Responsibilities: Regional coordinator’s overall responsibility is to coordinate implementation of the project activities at a regional level. Specific responsibilities include: Provide assistance in planning and implementing the project activities in the designated regional settings Function as the liaison between the project, the National TB program, official health structures, community groups and other stakeholders locally Oversee implementation of the planned activities in the regions including performance of subgrantees Conduct and facilitate training at the regional and facility levels related to TB, MDR TB, and TB infection control clinical and programmatic management Assist in organizing workshops and site visits locally Maintain regular communication with the project CoP and the office in Tbilisi Prepare monthly reports on regional activities as required by the project performance management plan Implement any other duties as requested by the Chief of Party Minimum Qualifications Advanced degree in medicine or public health A minimum of 3 years of post qualification work experience in public health Should have proven experience in project coordination.
