Sensex has completed a small saucer formation and the targets for that are 16890 and 17166. As far as Nifty is concerned, it has managed to close above the 50DMA which is signaling a short term uptrend. Nifty will face resistance at 5117 levels which is where the 200 DMA is placed. Sensex will face resistance at 16832 which is where the multi year trendline resistance is placed. Above which, the 200DMA is at 17280 and there is a gap on the daily charts of the Sensex between 17227-17258. So Sensex will not be able to cross 17250 in a hurry. Even the CRR hike of 50bps will have minor effect on the market, as the market had already factored in that hike. So any fall in the market will create buying opportunities. Keep a watch on index heavyweights like RIL and ONGC. IT and PHARMA SECTOR LEAD THE RALLY. IT and Pharma sectors were the star sectors in this short truncated week of three days. IT sector, which till now was plagued by the a p preciation of the rupee and the slow down in the US economy; suddenly sprang back to life and started a stupendous rally. Fundamentally speaking our IT companies are now not overtly dependent on the US, but will be effective from April 26 while the second 25 bps hike will be effective from May 10. * RBI plans to sell Rs 2,500 crore 91-day treasury bills on which includes Rs 2,000 crore under the market stabilization scheme, or MSS. The central bank also plans to sell Rs 2,000 cr 364-day TBill on Wednesday which includes 1,000 crore MSS. What does CRR mean? CRR means cash reserve ratio in which the ideal cash that the banks had to keep apart from their total deposits. Till now the banks had to keep aside 7.5% of their total deposits as ideal in cash they cannot lend it. Now onwards they have to keep aside 8% and it will come into effect in two stages. On April 26, it gets raised to 7.75. On May 10 the CRR will effectively become 8%. What will be the Impact of CRR hike? Due to the hike in the CRR some amount of the cash in the system will be wiped out, almost 50 bps hike would drain Rs 18,500 crore from the system, and also the interest rates will go up because there is less money to lend. And if the less supply of money will be there than it will affect the Purchasing power negatively, means demand will be also slow down. When demand will slow down than automatically prices will cool off and it SHAHENSHAH OF FINANCIAL JUNGLE are slowly diversifying their risk geographically. As a result their dollar dependency will slowly reduce. This is already visible in the strong performance of the IT shares. Pharma Sector too joined the rally and Ranbaxy-Orchid drama only added fuel to the fire. In our last article we said that the immediate target for orchid is 290, and it achieved that very easily! FINALLY FISCAL CONTROLS ENTERED IN THE PICTURE OF INFLATION Though the Inflation figures have been cut down this week as compared to the last week of 7.41% to 7.14%, but still also it is beyond the tolerance level of government. So, to melt down the figures more, the Reserve Bank of India(RBI)has taken following steps: * Hiked CRR by 50 bps to 8% in two stages. The first 25 bps CRR hike will help in reducing inflation. MSS BONDS. These are called as Market Stabilization bonds. This works as double edged sword, Government buy this bonds that means they are making the inflow of dollars on which they have to pay certain interest as the cost. And when it wants to sell means they want to have an outflow of dollars from the system. In todays scenario to drain the excess money from the system RBI is planning to sell this bonds. This will lead to slow down the inflation. How CRR hike and MSS bonds will impact the stock market? Definitely this will slow down the growth of the economy. Finance is the life blood of any business, due the above measure cost of capital will increase for all kinds of business which will directly impact to profitability and growth. Since this will After harnessing the breezes to build a $7 billion (Rs28,000 crore) family fortune, windmill magnate Tulsi Tanti is encountering heavy turbulence. The German company has also developed some of the industry's biggest turbines, which could help turn Suzlon into a wind-power front-runner. A bit more than a decade ago, Tanti sold his family's struggling yarnmaking business and scraped together about half-a-million dollars to start a new company. Defying industry incumbents who dismissed him as a dreamer, he started building wind-powered turbines. Now, Suzlon can't get its hands on the blueprints. Hamstrung by a German corporate law, Suzlon must offer to buy out minority shareholders before it can demand Repower's designs. With lobbying, heavy borrowing and good timing, he turned Suzlon Energy Ltd into the world's fifth largest windmill maker. Suzlon does roughly $1.8 billion in sales a year and has captured 8% of the US market. Tanti ranks among the world's richest green-power moguls. Tulsi Tanti Maintaining his perch will be a challenge. In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in February, Edison Mission Energy, a unit of Edison International, said the 144-footlong windmill blades it recently bought from Suzlon have begun to split at three wind-power sites. Suzlon has recalled 1,251 blades from its top-of-the-line turbines, which represent the majority of blades the company has sold to date in the US. Its troubles don't end there. A year ago, the company bought a controlling stake in a large German turbine manufacturer, Repower Systems AG, in one of India's biggest overseas acquisitions. Repower's technology could improve Suzlon's current product line. be applicable from current running quarters only results will get impacted and can make slow down. Still Investors and Traders should not forget that Indian economy is a growing economy and it will easily come over these small hurdles and in long term it is in bullish trend. So at every fall good stocks can be picked without hesitation. STOCKS THAT WILL BE ON FIRE NEXT WEEK: It's unlikely that the company could make a tender offer until 2009, say people with knowledge of the companies. See: Added capacity Tanti, a 50-year-old with a narrow moustache and slicked-down hair, plays down the concerns. In an interview, he demonstrates a bold confidence in the technology that has propelled Suzlon this far, and bristles at questions about its challenges. Four-year plan "There are no companies growing the way we are growing. Within four years we will feed product technology to the whole world," says Tanti, the company's chairman and managing director. Suzlon remains on track to double its annual production capacity by 2010, he says. The cracked-blade problem, he says, doesn't stem from any fundamental design flaw. He declines to comment on ownership issues at Repower. Suzlon's rapid rise reflects the advantages that developing world companies have in some booming new sectors-as well as the trouble they may have staying on top. Kajaria Ceramics Limited’s product portfolio comprises international tiles, high-end wall and floor tiles sourced from Spain and Italy, vitrified tiles from the manufacturers in China, and wall and floor tiles manufactured at its plants. The Company’s two plants possess a cumulative manufacturing capacity of 26.4 million square meters per annum: Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh (capacity 9.70 million square meters), and Gailpur, Rajasthan (capacity 16.70 million square meters). Kajaria Ceramics Limited’s institutional customers comprise brand, such as Kumar Builders, Hafeez Contractor, Sobha Developers, Mantri Group, Prestige Group, Unitech, Parsvnath, Eldeco, DSK, MGF, Ansals and Hiranandani. This company is the largest manufacturer of tiles in India with a quarterly sales turnover of 129 Cr Dec 07 compared to 105 Cr last Dec. Looking at this company I feel that it may me grossly mismanaged. I may be wrong but have a look at its expenses for the last quarter, 108 Cr, leaving just 21 Cr operating profits. From this profit, a huge 10 Cr is bit off by Interest on Loans. Leaving just 3Cr profits after tax and other deductions. Did I mention the net loss of 5 Cr for March 07? This company seems to have huge expenses in administration, distribution and financial charges that is in the tune of nearly 900Cr, something they should work on reducing. The fact is that the company increased production capacity without knowing how much the market can actually absorb. Since 40 percent of production was historically focused on North India, there was a temporary over-production in the region and their distribution channels struggled to liquidate inventory. The result was a loss in notional revenues, a decline in realizations and interest outflow on account of the debt taken to create the additional capacity. The company tried to dump excess stock in foriegn markets will little success. Ok, this company got a bit carried away, dont we all. It has survived for 18 years right? So what makes this company and this sector so attractive? Its the relative immunity to inflation and the constant demand as a result of booming real estate. Although they are affected by recession. Can Manufacturing The performance of a can is a complex interaction of food constituents, canning practices and storage parameters on one hand and the entire can manufacturing system on the other hand. The can and its contents must be therefore considered together as a unit. Thus, it is truly a package deal. This is what Agro Dutch is, on of India ’s largest canners and also the finest can makers. Having bought cans from several overseas and domestic can makers, the main endeavor has been to make the right can and reduce the variability from can to can. Generally, the can cost may contribute up to a fifth of the total product cost. So, it really made sense to get the best can available. Although, it is first a can filler and then as a can maker. At the same time the tolerance are plummeting towards zero defects. This necessarily entails right first time, right every time and real time Quality Assurance. The company believes in emphasizing off-line control to an extent whereby the on-line control becomes only a back up. Be Choosy In Picking Stocks. Take Profits Where U R Getting Till April Ends. 21st April shall be most decisive and deceptive…..FIIs to short sell and Pay margin!! The week that begins from 21st April 2008 shall be a land mark beginning in the history of Indian Capital Market as perhaps for the first time a bold step has been taken by SEBI to ask FIIs to pay margin in cash Market the very next day and thus the cash available to play or plough the market may witness some setback or at least receive initial jerks. As such the surprise increase in CRR by 0.50% in two stages beginning 26 th April 2008 may dampen the Banking shares as it would such some liquidity from the system by about Rs.18,500 crores, the Banking experts are divided on this view. Some say this was expected and hence not a “surprise”, while some say this was not warranted as the supply side is concerned and not the present structure to boost inflation!! So this would hurt market sentiments and may bring the market down. Well one could easily conclude that if both the opinions are blended then it would mean only one thing: “Market may not fall drastically but shall also prevent from rising.” But the solace does prevail as Friday closing in US Market shall definitely act as trigger point since the results of Google, Microsoft and Intel as well as Caterpillars are far better than expected and hence it could be safely concluded that Non-Banking Financial Sectors’ growth are not affected much by the so called “Recessionary” fear in American economy!! That is why Dow Jones and NASDAQ both were comfortably up and so the European Markets and this may trigger higher openings on Monday 21 st April in Asian Markets too! Thus the market in India may experience knee jerk reaction but soon regain the lost ground and hence it would be a wrong judgment to “Short Sell” on Monday morning. Well the only apprehension is the Government stance on Steel prices and any move to ‘Regulate’ the prices of steel or steel products and imposing ad valorem duty on iron ore exports shall be a negative news. RBI in the past has hiked the CRR ahead of its quarterly policy two or three times and unless a decision to hike the reverse repo rate is taken on 29 th April 2008 the market shall well absorb the shock of CRR hike. In China the CRR is in double digit and so the inflation. The inflation is world wide phenomena and India cannot isolate itself from the global influence. But certainly the Government recent action shall cer- tainly bring the inflation to a low of 5 to 5.5 % in just two months and if we desire the GDP at 8.5% in 2008-09, inflation at 5% + or .050% should be an acceptable figure. But again the election in 8 states in 2008 and Loksabha election in May 2009 may not permit the 5% formula to catch the Vote Bank. All said and done the past two weeks certainly defied the global movements and if we are now tired of hearing sub prime crisis etc. time has come to re look and revisit our own economy and act according to our consensus. On upper side the immediate trigger is 16500 for senses and on lower it may touch 14700 if we behave irrationally to global cues or inflation. If 16500 is crossed and sustained for two consecutive days the next target point shall be 18000 plus minus 250 points. But if 14700 is broken then we only to be blamed to get strength to rumors that market may bottom out at 12500!! 20-4-2008 to 26-4-2008 Madhav Ranade (M) 09371002943 or email : sumamura@dataone.in You have seen the trading levels last few weeks and how good they worked …….. now I have given the levels for a few stocks. Position trading entry levels as well as stoplosses should be considered as triggered when the level is consistently breached for a minimum period of 15/20 minutes. Also breaching of the level in the opening / last 15 minutes of trade should not be considered at all. Stocks Commodities Trading levels for 21 st /25 th April 2008 . . . Today, I have given levels for 8 stocks, 4 commodities and 5 important world indices. This should give you some indication about the shape of things to come. We have DOW closing above 12,800 on friday. This will give some strength to our market but we have to look out for a false break-out. CRR hike is going to be a dampner for our market but I still feel that we may be atleast touch 5050 – nifty spot - in the coming week even if we cant close above that level. 11 WEEKLY SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE LEVELS ANURAG GUPTA MOBILE : 9255191643 SYMBOL CLOSE NF APRIL 4960.55 ADLAB FUTURE 689.45 ABB FUTURE 1149.95 ACC FUTURE 800.90 BANKBARODA FUTURE300.50 BEL FUTURE 1211.20 BEML FUTURE 1041.15 BHEL FUTURE 1782.30 BOMDYEING FUTURE827.15 BPCL FUTURE 401.35 CANBK FUTURE 235.50 CENTURYTEX FUTURE805.30 CIPLA FUTURE 222.30 DIVISLAB FUTURE 1387.05 DRREDDY FUTURE 607.05 GAIL FUTURE 446.20 GRASIM FUTURE 2578.95 HCLTECH FUTURE 267.50 HDFC FUTURE 2479.25 HDFCBANK FUTURE1382.20 HEROHONDA FUTURE734.75 HINDUNILVR FUTURE232.15 IDFC FUTURE 162.60 IDBI FUTURE 100.30 IFCI FUTURE 50.70 HINDPETRO FUTURE 251.35 I-FLEX FUTURE 1304.40 ICICIBANK FUTURE 836.80 INDIACEM FUTURE 180.50 INFOSYSTCH FUTURE1656.10 IOC FUTURE 454.15 ITC FUTURE 210.95 IVRCLINFRA FUTURE400.65 LT FUTURE 2782.10 M&M FUTURE 641.90 MARUTI FUTURE 759.10 MTNL FUTURE 105.65 NDTV FUTURE 412.20 ONGC FUTURE 1019.95 ORIENTBANK FUTURE192.20 PARSVNATH FUTURE213.60 PRAJIND FUTURE 152.70 PUNJLLOYD FUTURE341.05 PATNI FUTURE 277.85 RANBAXY FUTURE 480.90 REL FUTURE 1337.65 RELCAPITAL FUTURE1353.15 RELIANCE FUTURE 2641.90 SATYAMCOMP FUTURE470.75 SOBHA FUTURE 592.40 SBIN FUTURE 1684.30 TATAMOTORS FUTURE619.25 TATAPOWER FUTURE1294.40 TATATEA FUTURE 904.00 TCS FUTURE 1002.80 TATASTEEL FUTURE716.25 TITAN FUTURE 1112.20 UNITECH FUTURE 269.85 TATACOM FUTURE 484.15 WIPRO FUTURE 458.95 ZEEL FUTURE 216.35 FROM 21 Aprilh TO 26 April 2008 Email : anuraghsr@yahoo.com TREND BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BEARISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BULLISH BEARISH RES2 5183.52 747.88 1239.32 835.40 312.83 1330.40 1098.32 1906.93 1053.05 424.78 251.27 894.10 232.10 1499.68 645.55 470.73 2702.32 297.30 2665.55 1470.53 765.45 256.32 175.87 107.63 56.63 257.52 1482.80 908.87 188.43 1842.70 477.72 218.78 427.15 2973.30 669.23 788.53 112.05 446.40 1083.85 203.73 231.47 165.97 362.52 306.75 529.90 1458.55 1469.72 2804.27 517.38 614.43 1774.63 649.08 1369.73 987.57 1098.23 746.08 1232.07 288.55 503.72 505.12 257.65 RES1 TREND LEVEL 5072.03 4873.52 718.67 675.78 1194.63 1133.32 818.15 804.75 306.67 296.83 1270.80 1175.40 1069.73 1023.37 1844.62 1801.08 940.10 771.75 413.07 400.28 243.38 231.72 849.70 785.40 227.20 218.80 1443.37 1410.68 626.30 605.65 458.47 448.73 2640.63 2548.32 282.40 254.00 2572.40 2436.85 1426.37 1345.83 750.10 732.55 244.23 235.42 169.23 159.12 103.97 97.88 53.67 48.23 254.43 249.72 1393.60 1235.80 872.83 816.97 184.47 181.03 1749.40 1584.70 465.93 455.72 214.87 208.08 413.90 394.60 2877.70 2789.40 655.57 631.33 773.82 750.03 108.85 103.50 429.30 414.90 1051.90 1017.95 197.97 187.23 222.53 209.07 159.33 147.72 351.78 337.52 292.30 264.65 505.40 474.45 1398.10 1323.55 1411.43 1321.72 2723.08 2606.82 494.07 461.53 603.42 593.78 1729.47 1679.73 634.17 620.08 1332.07 1277.03 945.78 882.87 1050.52 965.28 731.17 704.08 1172.13 1110.07 279.20 267.35 493.93 477.97 482.03 441.52 237.00 223.60 SUPP1 4762.03 646.57 1088.63 787.50 290.67 1115.80 994.78 1738.77 658.80 388.57 223.83 741.00 213.90 1354.37 586.40 436.47 2486.63 239.10 2343.70 1301.67 717.20 223.33 152.48 94.22 45.27 246.63 1146.60 780.93 177.07 1491.40 443.93 204.17 381.35 2693.80 617.67 735.32 100.30 397.80 986.00 181.47 200.13 141.08 326.78 250.20 449.95 1263.10 1263.43 2525.63 438.22 582.77 1634.57 605.17 1239.37 841.08 917.57 689.17 1050.13 258.00 468.18 418.43 202.95 SUPP2 4563.52 603.68 1027.32 774.10 280.83 1020.40 948.42 1695.23 490.45 375.78 212.17 676.70 205.50 1321.68 565.75 426.73 2394.32 210.70 2208.15 1221.13 699.65 214.52 142.37 88.13 39.83 241.92 988.80 725.07 173.63 1326.70 433.72 197.38 362.05 2605.50 593.43 711.53 94.95 383.40 952.05 170.73 186.67 129.47 312.52 222.55 419.00 1188.55 1173.72 2409.37 405.68 573.13 1584.83 591.08 1184.33 778.17 832.33 662.08 988.07 246.15 452.22 377.92 189.55 PLEASE UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU TRADE TRADING GUIDELINES (or how to trade using this sheet): World indices 1. This model is based on the premise that the TREND LEVEL is the most important price level that decides the intraday trend. Much like how the door or a window hangs by a hinge and sways in the wind, the intraday trend also hangs by this TREND LEVEL and swings because of the demand-supply, volatility and market sentiments prevailing in the market. Hence its importance in intraday trading. 2. Opening Price is considered around close of previous day. Avoid BUYING if Prices open abnormally High and Avoid SELLING if prices open too low. 3. If the market price is stable above the TREND LEVEL, then GO LONG. and book profit near the resistant level (res1 and res2) 4. If the market price is stable below the TREND LEVEL, then GO SHORT. and book profit near the support level (sup1 and sup2) 5. STOP LOSS: Since you are aware of the ‘potential returns’ at the time of initiating an intraday trade (difference between the entry price and profit targets), you should set up an appropriate STOP LOSS around 1% above below of the trade price to protect yourself if the market turns and goes against you. 6. ALTERNATE STRATEGY: If you have already initiated a trade with clear-cut profit targets and a stop loss level, and find during the course of the trading day that the market turns and goes the other way and crosses the TREND LEVEL, then trade again: .For instance, if your first trade was a LONG trade and the market price drops through the TREND LEVEL to lower price levels, then GO SHORT. . And, if your first trade was a SHORT trade, and the market price rises through the TREND LEVEL to higher price levels, then GO LONG. 20-4-2008 to 26-4-2008 12 INTRODUCTION : Shri Antaryami is connected with Stock Market since last many years and giving right guidance to many people among the country and out side the country also.
