regard to any animal or article exhibited, or if
any exhibitor shall attempt to interfere with the

POINT TABULATION
Association points (ROM, national, etc) will
be earned following the rules of the respective
association.
Scoring (Averaging System) - For all breeds,
a four-judge system will be used with the low
card being dropped before the average card is
tabulated. The averaging system used for the
overall placings for the awarding of medallions
is as follows: Horses are given an advantage or
“weighted” credit for receiving first place on any
judge’s card. Points will be awarded based on
the following:
• 1st place - 0 points
• 2nd place - 2 points
• 3rd place - 3 points
• 4th place - 4 points
• 5th place - 5 points
• 6th place - 6 points
• 7th place - 7 points
• 8th place - 8 points
• 9th place - 9 points
• 10th place - 10 points
All horses not appearing on a judge’s card will
receive 1 more point than the last horse placed
in the class. Points from all judges’ cards are
totaled and the entry with the lowest score wins
on the average card.
Tabulation Error - If a tabulation error is
suspected, a written inquiry may be presented
to the Show Steward within 24 hours after the
completion of the affected class without using
the protest procedure, EXCEPT AT THE END
OF THE SHOW WHEN ALL INQUIRIES MUST BE
GIVEN BEFORE THE AWARDS ARE PRESENTED.
The PtHA reserves the right to correct such an
error without recourse from entrants.
Tie Breaker - One judge is designated as the
tie breaker for each class. In the event of a tie,
the entry appearing highest on the tie breaker
judge’s card is placed highest in the average.
The judge designated as tie breaker will be
alternated from class to class.
PROTESTS
Protests and complaints will follow the rules
for the respective association in which the
protest filer belongs.
RESULTS
Results for each Congress class will be posted
in the PtHA Booth and on the PtHA Web site at
the end of each day. High Point and Class results
will be published in the Pinto Horse online
magazine following the show.
