Johnson (212) 875-5718; johnsonk@nyphil.org NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ENSEMBLES AT MERKIN CONCERT HALL November 23, 2014 Musicians from the New York Philharmonic To Perform Works by Schnittke, Joel Eric Suben, Beethoven, and Schubert The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its second performance of the 2014–15 season on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Schnittke’s Moz-Art, for Two Violins; the World Premiere of Joel Eric Suben’s Piano Trio “Ballo di Corte”; Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3; and Schubert’s String Quartet in A minor, Rosamunde, D.804. The musicians on the program will be Acting Principal, Second Violin Group, Lisa Kim and violinists Duoming Ba, Kuan Cheng Lu, Soohyun Kwon, Joo Young Oh, and Vladimir Tsypin; violists Vivek Kamath and Rémi Pelletier; cellists Alexei Yupanqui Gonzales, Patrick Jee, and Ru-Pei Yeh; and guest pianist Elena Kuschnerova. Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions.
