Learning for Action (LFA) is a San Francisco‐based consulting firm that provides the social sector (nonprofit, philanthropic, and public organizations) with evaluation, research, strategy, and capacity‐building services. For over ten years, LFA has worked with clients to design, implement, and evaluate programs that create social impact. Our work focuses on a range of issue areas including, but not limited to: education, community development, juvenile justice, public health, reproductive rights, journalism, and immigration. Executive Assistant Position
We are currently conducting a search for a full‐time enthusiastic, savvy, effective, and experienced Executive Assistant to provide high level day‐to‐day support to the Founder and CEO and the Chief Learning Officer (CLO), as well as support to key internal committees. The person in this position will play a critical role in maximizing the effectiveness of the CEO and CLO and will be part of the Operations team. This is a rare opportunity to work with and learn from a high‐performing group of people committed to social justice. The ideal candidate will contribute to the diversity of LFA and thrive providing administrative support to C‐level executives. Position responsibilities:
Duties include (but are not limited to):  Heavy scheduling, calendar, email management, and travel coordination  Client visit and presentation preparations  Data entry (e.g., monthly time tracking data)  File management  Personal assistance support tasks (e.g., ordering lunch and reimbursements)  Knowledge management using various data systems  Manage special projects, as needed  Support critical committee through preparing minutes, tracking agendas, and connecting dots across the company Secondary duties may include providing support to the Operations team (e.g., staff meeting preparation, backup support for operational functioning, generating and tracking project contracts) and company consulting projects (e.g., editing, report production, and formatting documents). This position requires the ability to navigate, prioritize, and execute with grace in a fast‐paced, high expectation work environment. Post date 07.10.14 Qualifications:

AA degree Must have at least 4 years of experience supporting C‐level executives in a fast‐paced environment Commitment to and experience in the social sector Demonstrated commitment to a career in EA support 
High degree of ownership of workload and strong aptitude for working independently, managing priorities, and communicating progress on work while meeting deadlines Excellent at calendar management, scheduling, and travel planning including, understanding how to manage a busy executive's time to contribute to the overall success of the company Love of order, planning, and systems: has strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, thrives on managing multiple tasks, demonstrates proactive planning / anticipates needs and solutions, and has a start‐
up toolkit to manage and prioritize the details and requests from the get‐go Excellent oral and written communication skills Technologically savvy: high proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Outlook and Word), basic troubleshooting skills for computers and mobile devices, ability to identify technological solutions to increase efficiency, and experience collaborating using “cloud” tools such as Smartsheet, Evernote, Podio, Skype, Google Apps, etc. Demonstrated efficiency in executing administrative tasks, such as typing (at least 50 wpm), filing, and data entry Outstanding interpersonal skills, works effectively in a team, maintains composure in stressful situations, and works effectively in a deadline‐driven environment A diplomatic approach, “can do” attitude, innate sensibility for quality customer service, and a positive upbeat personality Proactive problem solver and a sharp thinker, and a good sense of humor A high level of discretion and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs Proactive, flexible, and able to manage upward to assist CEO and CLO in achieving deadlines Skills

This position is full time with a competitive annual starting salary, depending on experience.
