the office.
For general questions about any of our programs please contact the office at, 728-6163 x10 or email to office@tssc.org. For
more detailed questions about specific programs please contact coaches directly.
TSSC is a competitive ski club. Once athletes have basic skiing skills, we coach them in a competitive environment in the
discipline of their choice. For athletes who still need to work on basic skiing skills and are not able to ski all the blue runs on
the mountain comfortably (for team gravity) and all the black runs on the mountain, aggressively for all other programs,
they need to sign up for ski pe and the Devo program with the Telluride Ski School.
We will conduct skier evaluations the first day of club. Those athletes deemed not ready for ski club by our staff will be
immediately referred to ski school with a full refund.

TEAM GRAVITY (Grades 1-3)
Team Gravity is a fast paced fun program rooted in skiing all terrain and building skiing fundamentals. The
philosophy of Team Gravity is to create a community of young athletes who love everything about skiing – the
snow, the glide, the adventure, the camaraderie, the mountain, the weather. By basing our developmental
program on having fun, being creative and teaching good fundamental skills, we hope to insure a healthy ski
culture for all athletes and inspire some future top competitors. Our coaches are chosen for their strength in
working with young athletes and for their infectious enthusiasm of winter sports.
All athletes must be able to ski all blue runs aggressively.
All athletes will have the opportunity to participate in alpine races, mogul competitions and other special days
filled with fun and games.

Work Credit Program, 2014/2015
As a community based 501 (c) (3) non-profit, TSSC relies heavily on the generosity of many volunteers and
friends who give countless hours to help with club-related fundraising, activities and events. We cannot exist
without the incredible support and dedication of our members and their families. Likewise, TSSC feels strongly
that the greater the parental participation in various club activities, the better our program will be as well as a
better experience for the children involved in these sports. With this in mind, we include a work credit deposit
as part of our total annual dues. This is a standard program in most ski and snowboard clubs across the country.
• Only one work credit deposit per family
• Mandatory deposit of $250 will be asked to fulfill 20 hours. You must complete the 20 hours to receive
your deposit back. No partial deposits will be returned.
o Ski PE and Telemark programs pay half work credit of $125 and work 10 hours.
• Families may earn back their deposit by helping at club-sponsored events, races, making food for
meetings/banquets or helping out in the office
• A work credit deposit is required of each family at the time of registration
• The work credit “season” will run from October 1st, 2014 – September 30th, 2015.
• We would like to encourage that all athletes 14 years of age or over contribute at least 8 volunteer
hours to the club to be credited to their service learning hours.
To receive credit for volunteering, you must EMAIL OFFICE YOUR HOURS, or fill out a “WORK CREDIT
FORM”; have it signed by a supervisor of the event and deliver to the TSSC Office (via mail, fax, or dropping it
off during office hours). The forms are available on our website and at the TSSC office. DO NOT turn in these
forms to coaches or supervisors…they are not responsible for getting them to the TSSC Office. If you do not
email your hours/fill out a form, you will NOT get credit for your time, as it is the only way for us to track your
volunteer hours. We greatly appreciate any help! Thank you!
