Doug Leng, Vice President, Business Development
Structural Technologies, LLC, (ElectroTech CP, LLC), Richland, MI
Doug has a BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University with 20+ years of experience serving the corrosion industry. He has
served as the Chairman of NACE TG047 for 8 years (Sacrificial CP of Steel Reinforced Concrete Elements), and is an active member of NACE, ICRI, ASM, and
ASQC. Doug has written numerous papers, articles and abstracts on the topic of sacrificial cathodic protection and is the inventor of the Lifejacket System.
Bob Crosser, Technical Sales Representative
Simpson Strong-Tie Company, Charlotte, NC
Bob graduated from Miami University (Ohio) in 1984 with a degree in Business and Marketing. He started in the construction materials and supply business in 1992
as an independent manufacturers’ representative, representing manufacturers of concrete anchors and construction tools. Currently Bob is the ICI (Infrastructure,
Commercial, Industrial) Division Technical Sales Representative for Simpson Strong-Tie. He was hired by Simpson Strong-Tie as an independent representative in
2003 and then as a direct employee in 2006. He is a specialist in chemical as well as mechanical anchoring products used in new and restorative construction
applications. Crosser has been working with engineers, building officials, contractors and sales support for the Carolinas, Eastern Tennessee, and Southeast Virginia
for the past 20 years to make sure that structures are erected according to manufacturer’s specification and building code compliance.
John B. Pohle, P.E., Design-Build Manager
Skanska USA Civil Southeast Inc., Virginia Beach, VA
Mr. Pohle has over 27 years of experience in the construction industry, including both heavy civil construction and structural design expertise. He has worked on
major design-build construction projects, including the Cooper River Bridge, Charleston SC; I-10 Bridges over Escambia Bay, FL; and the Eastern Transportation
Corridor in Orange County, CA. Mr. Pohle’s expertise includes project management from both a construction and design perspective. His engineering duties
included operations management, where he specialized in project cost management, subcontractor management, business development, and coordination with
contractors and regulatory agencies.

Richard L. Glenn is Owner and President of Glenn Underwater Services, Inc., headquartered in Charlotte, NC, with regional locations in Morgantown, WV and
Paramaribo, Suriname South America. The company engages in the restoration of concrete structures underwater throughout the US and worldwide. www.

Richard Glenn has been a commercial diver, business owner and consultant for over 35 years, focusing his career on the underwater restoration of subaqueous
concrete structures. This work has been done in the North Sea, West Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, South America, throughout the Caribbean and the United
States. He received his training at Florida Institute of Technology in Jensen Beach, FL. He has developed systems for the inspection of concrete structures, testing
and repair systems and procedures. He assisted with the development of acoustical positioning for mapping defects underwater on large mass concrete structures,
and equipment for the injection of epoxies and chemical grouts in underwater applications. He also developed epoxy application systems for applying epoxies
in sub-zero conditions, adapation of rebar locators for underwater use, and underwater crack monitors.
Mr. Glenn served as prime consultant for ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil Company) on the Juay’mah Trestle restoration project in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia.
The project required the underwater restoration of 125,000 linear feet of 54” diameter pre-stressed concrete at an estimated cost of $100 million dollars. His
responsibilities included research of repair and application procedures world wide, on site testing, and evaluation of selected repair systems. Most recently, Mr.
Glenn designed and directed the installation of a concrete pipe repair system on the Dan River Ash Pond release. It effectively halted the leakage of the free
ash into the Dan River.
Walt Hanford, Business Development Manager
Vector Corrosion Technologies, Port Orange, FL
Walter is the Business Development Manager for Vector Corrosion Technologies, providing technical support to engineers and contractors. Vector Corrosion
Technologies is the leading full-service supplier of corrosion mitigation products and services for reinforced concrete and masonry structures including bridges,
parking garages, buildings, marine structures and industrial facilities.
Walter has 30 years direct field experience in concrete structures repair and protection. His career has been invested in consulting with design engineers
and helping contractors to specify and install concrete repair solutions that 1. address properly repairing damage structures and 2., developing solutions that
overcome the root cause of the damage so that today’s repairs provide long term durability for the owner. Walter has worked for leading manufacturers of
concrete repair systems including Sika, BASF and presently Vector Corrosion technologies. Projects of note include major restorations to the 7 mile Segmental
Bridge in the Florida Keys, repairing the Launch complexes of NASA which have the double challenge of massive rocket launch vibrations and a steady barrage
of chloride intrusion from their Ocean shore location.
Walter spent two years as the corporate director of marketing for Chemrex (now part of BASF) overseeing new product development, testing and branding of
concrete repair mortars, parking deck waterproofing urethanes and building sealants. He is active with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, (NACE)
Certified Level 1 Cathodic Protection systems; American Segmental Bridge Institute, Certified Grouting Technician; Past Chapter President of the American
Concrete Institute (ACI) Florida West Coast Chapter; Past Chapter President, ICRI Central Florida and Graduate, University of Nebraska – long enough ago that
anything he learned has been long forgotten and replaced with better knowledge & experience.
Daniel Burton, P.E. Special Projects Project Manager
South Carolina Department Of Transportation, District 6
Daniel began his career with the South Carolina Department of Transportation as a project engineer on the main span of the Ravenel Bridge Construction project.
Over the last 11 years, Daniel has been responsible for the management of several Design-Build bridge and roadway construction projects including the Ben
Sawyer Bridge replacement (on nearby Sullivan’s Island) and the recently completed ACE Basin US 17 Widening project thru Colleton County. Daniel has a BS
in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and a BS in Mathematics from Lander University. Currently, Daniel serves as the Special Projects Project Manager
overseeing Design Build Projects located in District 6 including the SC 41 Bridge Replacement over the Wando River.
