Association now has over 200 members around the world, all
interested in the history of the Catholic Church in Scotland. It is

Benefits of membership
The opportunity to meet fellow members, researchers and
scholars interested in Scottish Catholic history
Two issues of the Innes Review annually. Published continuously
by the Scottish Catholic Historical Association since 1950, it
contains articles and book reviews on a wide field of ecclesiastical,
cultural, liturgical, architectural, literary and political history from
earliest times to the present day. It is named after Thomas Innes
(1662-1744), a missionary priest, historian, and archivist of the Scots
College in Paris whose impartial scholarship stood out amongst the
denominational prejudices of the time
Two issues of the SCHAS Newsletter annually. The newsletter
contains current information about the society, reports of seminars
and meetings, notices and new publication notices
Evening Seminar series - evening seminars are held regularly in
Edinburgh and Glasgow with invited scholars covering a wide
variety of topics
