Under the leadership of Musical Director Timothy Weiss, this professional orchestra has gained critical acclaim for extraordinary performances and quality programming, becoming one of the most respected musical ensembles in Ohio. This year we begin our third season with our Concertmaster, Andy Carlson, who has brought incredible excitement with his strong and fiery style. the newark-granville youth symphony, under the direction of Susan Larson, offers young musicians in Licking County the opportunity to learn and perform classical music at the highest level. This nationally recognized youth symphony was the only youth symphony to perform at the 2011 Capitol Music Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. our youngest ensemble, the newarkGranville Chamber Strings serves intermediate performers. Under the direction of Newark HS orchestra director Christopher Lape, this beginning ensemble is building a foundation for the next generation of string musicians. We are proud of our part in educating the youth of Licking County, a tradition we are able to continue through your support. Thank You!
