Dr. Stubbs has published numerous articles in reference journals,
has authored several text book chapters, and has presented numerous scientific lectures and continuing education seminars both nationally and abroad. He had been regularly featured on the Animal
Planet network’s Emergency Vets and E-Vets: Interns programs.
Dr. Stubbs comes to Peak Veterinary Specialists & Emergency with
significant experience in specialty referral practice and is eager
to assist you with the management of soft tissue, orthopedic (including TPLO, TTA, and total hip replacement), and neurosurgical cases. Dr. Stubbs is board certified by the American College of
Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) and his professional interests include
arthroscopy, complex joint injury repair, cementless total hip replacement, tibial tuberosity advancement, fracture repair with interlocking nails, portosystemic shunts, and neurosurgery.
He enjoys spending time with his five children and wife Laura, a
veterinarian. He also enjoys fly fishing, sports, playing drums, and
riding his motorcycle.

Dr. Preston Stubbs is a native of Western
New York. He earned his BS in Biology in
1985 from George Mason University and
his DVM from the Virginia Maryland
Regional College of Veterinary Medicine
(Virginia Tech) in 1990. He completed a
rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cornell University in
1991 and received his surgical residency
training at the University of Florida from 1991-1994. Since that
time he has been on the faculty of two veterinary teaching colleges
and worked as a staff surgeon in large specialty hospitals in Florida
and Colorado.

As a native New Orleanian, Ray Baas at-
tended the University of New Orleans and
received a BS in Economics. He also attended Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking and Executive
Management School at Tulane University.
He is the principal partner for DVM Consultants. With over 40 years of banking
and commercial financial experience, Mr.
Baas has provided CE-approved lectures in Tennessee, Alabama,
Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana as well as guest lectures for

Tina Brown, DVM, MS, DACVD
Dr. Tina Brown grew up outside of Tuscaloosa, AL. She attended Auburn University in Auburn, AL and received her
Bachelor of Science in 1996. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she
pursued a graduate degree at the College
of Veterinary Medicine and received her
Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences
with a research focus on endocrinology.
She was accepted into the veterinary program and received her degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
from Auburn University in 2004.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Brown worked in private practice in Chattanooga, TN where she developed a special interest
in dermatology. She returned to academia and completed a oneyear rotating internship in companion medicine and surgery at
Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was accepted
for a residency in Dermatology at LSU and trained under the
mentorship of Drs. Sandra Merchant and Carol Foil for two
years. During her residency, she conducted research in the Pythium Laboratory at LSU and continues to have a special interest
in deep fungal and bacterial infections of the skin. Dr. Brown
became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2008 and joined Memphis Veterinary Specialists in September 2008.
Dr. Brown specializes in diseases of the skin, ears and claws due
to allergic, parasitic, autoimmune, endocrine, and infectious
causes. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs
and numerous feline friends.
Heather Sutton, DVM
Dr. Heather Sutton graduated from Iowa
State University in 1997 after acquiring her
B.S. in Animal Science from South Dakota
State University in 1993.
After graduating from veterinary school, she
completed a 1 year ambulatory internship at
Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, FL. She practiced for a short period in the Dallas/Fort Worth
Metro before returning to Florida. There she practiced in a small
animal and equine setting for 9 more years in a 5 doctor clinic.
During this time, she also became certified in equine acupuncture.
After practice, she joined Merial as a field based Technical Services
Veterinarian based out of Minneapolis and served clinics in North
Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin for 5 years.
She briefly transitioned back into small animal practice before
joining Abaxis for the past 2 years as a Professional Services Veterinarian traveling to over 15 states, predominantly west of the
Mississippi River. It is here that she increased her appreciation for
diagnostic laboratory testing past the basic CBC and chemistry
panel.
Presently, she is running her family’s cattle, bison and horse ranching operation in South Dakota and provides an ambulatory equine
dentistry service.
Robbie van Mullem - 3 Sided Media
Robbie was raised in the Hammond, Louisiana area, where he graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1995. Robbie began his career in the animal health
industry with IDEXX Laboratories. After a
number of years as an in-clinic laboratory
representative and earning the prestigious
President’s Club Award, Robbie was then
promoted to area instrument manager. He
then took the position of National Director
of Sales and Marketing with Smitty’s Lubricants, the world’s largest private label oil and lubrication business. Robbie decided to
return to business ownership, and helped create 3 Sided Media,
to meet online and social media needs of veterinarians and their
clinics.
Robbie’s interest in computers and internet marketing stems from
attending programing classes at Southeastern Louisiana University
and his experience as National Director of Sales and Marketing at
Smitty’s Lubricants. Robbie is a social media and online marketing
consultant and has been involved in the Animal Health Industry
for over 11 years.
Gigi Davidson, BSPh, DICV
Gigi Davidson is currently the director of
Clinical Pharmacy Services at the North
Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she has been practicing veterinary pharmacy for the last 29 years.
Ms. Davidson received her BS in Pharmacy
from The University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill in 1983 and subsequently was
awarded Diplomate status in the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy in 2001. She was inducted into the Phi Zeta Honor
Society in 2006 as an honorary member for distinguished advancement of veterinary science. Gigi was also the inaugural recipient of
the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists’ William Bradley
Award for Outstanding Service to Veterinary Pharmacy in September 2007.
Gigi is a past president of the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists and currently serves as the chair of the USP Expert Committee for Pharmacy Compounding for the 2010-2015 Cycle. She
has also served on FDA’s Task Force for Compounding For Animal
Patients.
Ms. Davidson is the author of the Veterinary Drug Handbook: Client Information Edition and has authored several textbooks and
on-line continuing education programs for pharmacy students
and practicing pharmacists including, most recently, a chapter on
Veterinary Pharmacy Practice in Remington’s. Ms. Davidson has
also provided many veterinary continuing educational seminars in
areas of novel drug therapy, drug regulatory issues, and safe and
effective use of compounded drug therapies. She has precepted
pharmacy students since 1989 and was named by Campbell University School of Pharmacy as Preceptor of the Year for 2002 and
for UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy for 2010.
Ms. Davidson is a member of nearly a dozen other professional
organizations and serves as a faculty consultant for the American
College of Veterinary Pharmacists. Ms. Davidson has many publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and her primary areas of research interest include safety, efficacy and disposition of
compounded preparations in animals; immunotherapy for dermatological disease; and parenteral nutrition for veterinary patients.
