ONLINE RE-SITTING FOR JAN/FEB 15 EXAMINATIONS CIRCULAR AR/SA/ DATED 10.10.2014 The re-sitting option is open for Jan/Feb 2015 Examinations. Please note that the list of Eligible students for Re-sitting is provided under ‘Re-registration and Student Services’ section of LC Login of http://myzone.smude.edu.in Submission of Resitting Application under Student Login 1. Enter the URL http://myzone.smude.edu.in/irj/portal 2. Enter your Roll No. as the user id 3. Enter the password 4. Click on “Resitting Application” tab 5. Select the subjects and click on “Submit” 6. Select the payment instrument and click on “Pay Now” button 7. Enter the payment details and submit the application Submission of Resitting Application under Learning center Login 1. Go to home page of the portal http://myzone.smude.edu.in 2. Click on Re-registration and Student Services. 3. Select Roll No Search 4. Enter the Roll No. 5. Click on Search button. The Roll No. will be displayed in the grid 6. Select the record and click on ‘Re-sitting’ button 7. The student details will be displayed along with the Re-sitting Subject details. Select the subjects and click “Verified & Confirmed” button 8. Enter the Payment details (DD/ Card Swipe/ Online Payment/ Net Banking). Do not close the window till Payment acknowledgement is generated after clicking the “Pay” button. 9. Submit the application to the University and Generate Covering Letter 10. If the Payment instrument is DD, Generate a report from the system (Refer - User Manual uniPAY- SMU Cash Management System) to hand over DD to the HDFC personnel. 11. Resitting Covering Letter and Signed copy of the charge slip (Merchant Copy) is to be retained at Learning center. LC should be able to produce whenever requested for. Note: The status of all applications received within the due date will be made available on the portal ”http://myzone.smude.edu.in” after processing. The Learning Centres and the students can access this information through their respective logins. Discrepancy if any is to be reported within 7 days from the date of entry. 12. The Learning centers should not hand over any DD which is not entered in the System to HDFC person. All such additional Demand drafts are to be forwarded to Manipal Office only clearly mentioning the Roll No and Reason for forwarding the DD. DD Collection Report The Learning centers have to deposit the Demand Draft with System Generated DD collection report only. University will not take any responsibility if it is handed over manually. Please do not use the manual deposit Slip Instructions 1. Re-sitting form is to submitted online by the eligible students for the: a) UE or IA or both component/s of failed Theory papers of earlier semesters. b) UE or IA or both component/s of failed Practical papers of earlier semesters. c) UE or IA or both component/s of failed Project papers of earlier semesters. d) UE and IA passed but failed in Aggregate of Theory/ Practical/ Project papers of earlier semesters. 2. Please check the validity of your Registration before applying for re-sitting. In case the validity period (maximum duration of the program) is over, please contact Help Desk at smuhelpdesk@smudde.edu.in for further assistance. 3. The eligible students should apply online as per the instructions provided in User Manual in online portal, http://myzone.smude.edu.in. 4. The offline re-sitting forms will not be accepted. 5. In case of CLASHING PAPERS, the student has to apply and appear for only one paper. Note: It is applicable only to OFFLINE examinations. To facilitate the re-sitting students, the subjects of ODD and EVEN semesters are scheduled in such a way that they do not clash. However, the subjects of ODD & ODD / EVEN & EVEN semester will clash. 6. Please submit only one re-sitting form, even if the student is appearing for more than one paper of different semesters as online system does not accept more than one re-sitting form of a student. 7. The students are required to submit the Re-sitting form from the same LC in which they are re-registered in this Session. 8. Separate payment instrument should be used towards re-sitting form of each student. The online system will accept only one payment instrument for a given student. 9. Use of Consolidated DD for the re-sitting form of different students is not permitted. 10. Please note that there is no provision for improvement by reappearance in the Term End University Examinations or Internal Assignment once the student is declared as passed. 11. The students are required to refer to the revised SLM, if the same is revised after his/her last appearance for the examinations in that paper. 12. Under Re-admission, the students will get maximum two successive attempts to complete their backlog papers/semester. For the second attempt of a failed paper, the student has to apply for offline re-sitting along with necessary re-sitting fee for immediate subsequent examination, within the due date. They are not eligible for applying resitting under special resitting window. 13. After course completion, if the student wishes to submit the resitting application from different center the LC transfer procedure is to be completed first. CMS – Unipay option has been integrated for LC Transfer. With this integration, there is time lag between date of apply and receipt of MIS from HDFC. Thereafter the University will require some time to verify the details and approve the request. Therefore the request for Learning center Transfer has to be submitted online at least 15 days prior to the last date Reregistration/ Resitting. The Demand Drafts are to be forwarded to Manipal Office without any delay. It is recommended to make the online payment which will enable us to approve the transfer request immediately on receipt of MIS. 14. Last dates for the submission of the online re-sitting form by the students/ Learning center is 15.11.2014 Note: There will not be any window with late fee. Kindly complete the Resit entry including “Submit to the University” before the last date. Malpractice Cases Students who are booked for acts of indiscipline of malpractice during the Examinations will not be considered for re-sitting papers for such period specified by the Disciplinary Committee. Validity Over Cases Students whose maximum validity period is over are not eligible for Re-sitting. They have to complete the Readmission process provided, the course is available for Readmission. Re-Sitting Fee a) Re-sitting fee for all students is: Fee per paper : Rs.400/- b) Re-sitting fee for Practical papers of BScBT ( Revised Spring 2007 ) and MScBT : Rs 500/- c) DEMAND DRAFT: The Demand Draft should be drawn in the name of SIKKIM MANIPAL UNIVERSITY DE payable “Locally” (This is to be followed only if the LC is depositing the DD through CMS facility)/ Manipal/ Udupi. LC to generate a list of DDs for deposit and handover the same to HDFC personnel (Only DD’s are to be handed over with the system generated statement – Refer User Manual. It should not be sent directly to the University) d) THE CREDIT/DEBIT CARD SWIPING : This facility available at select learning centres only. Resitting Covering Letter and Signed copy of the charge slip (Merchant Copy) is to be retained at Learning center. LC should be able to produce whenever requested for. e) ONLINE PAYMENT: Payment can also be made through Payment Gateway. Please write the Roll no on the reverse side of the Charge slip without fail. Note: LC to generate a list of DDs for deposit and handover the same to HDFC personnel (Only DD’s are to be handed over with the system generated statement – Refer User Manual. It should not be sent directly to the University) Please write the Roll no on the reverse side of the DD without fail. 3.
