FUN FACT: One in every Hello, everyone! My name is Kara Pisciotto, and I am the new MWR Fall Intern. I drove all the way from California to be a part of this amazing organization and I cannot wait to get started. I am attending San Jose State University, where I am working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation. I am hoping that after this internship I will be able to continue serving military personnel and their families throughout my career. As for my experience, I have worked at multiple recreation facilities planning activities for all ages as well as for an event planner hosting large nonprofit events. I am passionate about providing recreation opportunities for people, and I hope to utilize the skills I have gained through my experiences to create new and exciting programs for the base. While I am here, I plan on developing events such as the BOOnanza, as well as assisting with the 4H and Boys and Girls Club youth programs. In addition, I am especially excited about developing a soccer program for the Boys and Girls Club Triple Play because soccer is my favorite sport, and I have played it since I was six years old. I hope that through this internship, I will meet many new faces and learn how to provide the best MWR programs. I would love to hear from you about what activities or events you would like to see in the future so that you can have a more enjoyable time on Base Cape Cod this Fall. eight United States residents lives in California.
