MWR has a Fall Intern!
FUN FACT:
One in every
Hello, everyone!
My name is Kara
Pisciotto, and I am
the new MWR
Fall Intern. I drove
all the way from
California to be a
part of this
amazing
organization and I
cannot wait to get
started. I am
attending San Jose
State University,
where I am
working on my
Bachelor’s Degree
in Recreation. I
am hoping that
after this
internship I will be
able to continue
serving military
personnel and
their families
throughout my career.
As for my experience,
I have worked at
multiple recreation
facilities planning
activities for all ages as
well as for an event
planner hosting large
nonprofit events. I am
passionate about
providing recreation
opportunities for
people, and I hope to
utilize the skills I have
gained through my
experiences to create
new and exciting
programs for the base.
While I am here, I plan
on developing events
such as the BOOnanza,
as well as assisting with
the 4H and Boys and
Girls Club youth
programs. In
addition, I am
especially excited
about developing a
soccer program for
the Boys and Girls
Club Triple Play
because soccer is my
favorite sport, and I
have played it since I
was six years old. I
hope that through this
internship, I will meet
many new faces and
learn how to provide
the best MWR
programs. I would love
to hear from you
about what activities
or events you would
like to see in the
future so that you can
have a more enjoyable
time on Base Cape
Cod this Fall.

SandCastles and S’mores Night
Many families enjoyed the last Snake Pond
Sandcastle & S'mores night in
September. Children made
sandcastles, swam, and ate too many
marshmallows. Parents watched their
children frolic in the water, wiped up
chocolate faces, and witnessed the
most beautiful sunset over the pond.
To continue family fun - MWR will be
hosting Family Nights, one Friday per
month, at the Crosswinds starting in
November with "Turkey Night" on the 14th.
