Vandeventer Middle School’s Information for Career Day Presenters Thank you for your support!!! Logistics: Friday, November 21, 2014 7:45 – 11:30 Audience: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students ages 12, 13, and 14 Program: Your day will begin after the keynote presentation. You will present three 40 minute presentations to groups of 25 students. Plan to speak for the full time, leaving a minute or two for questions at the end. You will stay in one classroom and the students will change rooms. The teacher will remain with you during presentations. Lunch: We would love for you to stay and enjoy a catered lunch, which will be served after the third session. Purpose and Suggested Format We want our students to get as much information about your career as possible. Please be able to tell the students the following: 1. Bring handouts…anything the students can keep, things with your logo, reminders of you and your job, samples of products. Bring enough for 75 students. 2. Bring hands-on materials for them to touch that will be returned to you before the students leave your session. 3. Be funny – middle school kids love humor. 4. Bring interactive items.
