Our Mission Statement: We, the parishioners of St. Agnes and Sacred Heart, are inspired by the Word of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit and nourished by the Eucharist. We strive to use our time, talents and resources to become a real presence of Christ. Our mission is to reach people for God, to welcome them into His Holy Church and to lovingly strengthen and support them as we journey toward our eternal home. 28TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME OCTOBER 12, 2014 Gospel: Matthew 22:1-14 Please pray, For all in need of God’s abiding presence. That all Church leaders will minister to the people of God in generosity and self-sacrifice. That governments of the world will recognize that their power comes from God and may exercise their duties according to His law. That we, the People of Life, may always proclaim and defend human life as a gift from God, who destroys death forever in Christ. For those in our community who are lonely, sick, and suffering, may God shower them with his love and compassion. For the prayers we hold in our hearts, united with Mary, the mother of God and all the saints. ——————————————— Jesus, I accept your invitation. I want to be with you both now and forever. Parish Fiscal Year Financial Reports Included in this week’s bulletin are the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 Financial Reports for both parishes. We did finish the year with a net income over expenses at both parishes even though the heating fuel costs were high last winter. As you can imagine, it is costly to staff and maintain our Churches. We are grateful to our faithful parishioners for their continued support and to the many visitors who also contribute. We have had good success with our automated giving program and encourage anyone who is interested to pick up a donation form. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Father Francis, a member of either Finance Council, or me. I would be happy to meet with you in the parish office. Please call for an appointment, as I am in the office only a few hours weekly.
