Free admission, All welcome Howell Theatre Celebrity Concert Haydn: String Quartet in F minor, Op 55 no.2 Moeran: Quartet No1 in A minor Mendelssohn: Quartet in Eb major, Op 44 no.3 The Maggini became Brunel Artists-in-Association in 1995, and were created Brunel Honorary Fellows in 2004. One of the finest British string quartets, the Maggini Quartet’s acclaimed recordings have won international awards including Gramophone Chamber Music Award of the Year, Diapason d’Or of the Year and a Cannes Classical Award, and have twice been nominated for Grammy Awards. The Quartet is currently recording the complete Mendelssohn quartet cycle for Meridian Records.
