Pino

Wirepas Pino™
Cloud
Wirepas Pino is a licensable wireless multi-hop mesh
protocol stack for Internet of Things (IoT), Machine to
Machine communication (M2M), and Wireless Sensor
and Actuators Networks (WSAN).
Pino is designed to answer all IoT requirements with excellent energy-efficiency,
scalability, and uncompromised robustness. Cross-layer optimization finalizes the
superior performance. Pino is implemented fully in SW giving the benefit of being
HW independent. Thus, best fitting MCUs and radios can be chosen for every
application.

The operation of Pino is fully autonomous, no external nor centralized control is
required and the protocol intelligence is distributed in the network. The benefits of
Pino are build to every layer of the stack.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND REFRENCE DESIGNS
Reference designs are available for both 2.4GHz (Nordic nRF51822 ) and Sub-Ghz (Silicon labs EFM32LG+Si446x). More platforms
will be released in Q1/2015. Evaluation kits are available for selected customers. Kit includes graphical diagnostics tool which is very
useful to understand the network behavior in different environmental conditions and shows simple way the strengths of the links
between the nodes. Terminal application is also included allowing to make some simple applications.

Wirepas Mesh Network
ƒƒRF environment is dynamic.
ƒƒInterference and congestions are
local by nature.
ƒƒDistributed system adapts locally
and makes better decisions for the
network.
Wirepas - Intelligent IoT Networks
ƒƒLocal decision making enables
better channel control and fast
adaptability to mobility, loss of
node or link breakage.
Cloud
Cloud/Server
ƒƒCentral control is always a possible
bottleneck and single point of
failure.
ƒƒDistributed operation does not
require end-to-end messaging
overhead.
