Twenty Years in the life of this library
Afternoon Tea
Friday October 10th @ 3:30
October 2nd marks a special anniversary
here at the library. On that day in 1994
the Elgin Public Library became a department to the City of Elgin and Sandy Ott
became a new city employee. Sandy has
continued to work with the Friends, the
city, and the community to build on the
vision that the founders had in 1986 when
they started the library. From a storefront
to the beautiful building that stands on
Main Street today, we have come a long
way.
Please join us in our celebration of this
milestone on Friday October 10th with an
afternoon tea to honor Library Director
Sandy Ott and the beautiful library we
now have.
