Chang’s Marathon, runners like me are running on behalf of a child with a rare disorder. For children suffering from rare disorders and their families searching desperately for care, TGen’s Dorrance Center for Rare Childhood Disorders is a driving force in genomic medicine and a powerful community. They are undaunted in the pursuit to care for each child by identifying the underlying causes that lead to disease, searching for treatment options tailored to their unique biology, and doing everything they can to make a difference in their lives. This year I am running for Mylee Grace: Mylee Grace, forever 5 years, old passed away from Mitochondrial disease. Our butterfly princess stole the hearts of many with her giant smile. She was a courageous fighter who loved ELMO, Dora and dancing like a ballerina. She taught us to NEVER GIVE UP, help us carry on her valiant fight. As a valuable member of the business community, I hope you will consider sponsoring this important event either financially or with an in-kind contribution of products. All proceeds from the event will go to support the Translational Genomic Research Institute (TGen) Dorrance Center for Rare Childhood Disorders and help children like Mylee. Thank you for considering supporting the thousands of families in their daily battle with rare disease. If you have any questions or would like more information please contact Robyn Duda Nebrich at rnebrich@tgen.org or (602) 343-8638. Yours towards a cure, Sara Eaton Mylee’s Marathoners For more information about the P.F. Chang’s Marathon and the Dorrance Center for Rare Childhood Disorders go to www.helptgen.org/run4kids Thank You! Sending out thank you letters is an important part of the fundraising process! It is important to thank each of your supporters and sponsors, regardless of whether they gave $10 or $1,000. All contributions should be acknowledged personally and promptly. You should put the same amount of effort into thanking your sponsors as you did in asking them for donations initially. It is recommend that you send your written thank you letters on a weekly basis; do not wait until after you have completed the marathon. The TGen Foundation will also send a formal thank you letter to all of your donors. These letters will be sent out every Friday. Your donors can use these formal acknowledgements for tax purposes. If you have any questions regarding thank you letters, please contact Robyn Nebrich Duda at rnebrich@tgen.org or (602) 343-8638 she is happy to assist you. Thank you so much for being a part of changing children’s lives!
