GP Seminar Invitation Shoulder Complaints: Diagnosis and Management 4 Category 2 QI&CPD points. Wednesday 29th October 2014, 6.30pm - 9.15pm Canberra Business & Events Centre, Regatta Point, Commonwealth Park, Acton The I-MED Network GP Education Seminar Series aims to assist in improved patient outcomes by providing GPs with relevant, current and evidence based medical imaging education and information. This seminar is the third in the series and will include discussion of two to three interesting case studies with recommendations from a multi-disciplinary panel including an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Radiologist and Physiotherapist. Radiologist: Orthopaedic Surgeon: Dr Iain Stewart FRCP, FRCR Dr Iain Stewart is NCDI’s Clinical Director and has been with the Practice since 1995. Iain trained in general medicine at Riyadh and Al Kharj Military Hospital, Saudi Arabia. Following this he trained in radiology and nuclear medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, during which time he had a 3 month attachment at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. Iain’s professional interests are nuclear medicine, MRI, CT, ultrasound and multimodality imaging integration. Dr Sindy Vrancic Dr Vrancic gained her undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery from Flinders University, South Australia in 1995. She has since completed a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine and gained admission to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Orthopaedic Surgery in January 2008. Sindy has completed a Fellowship in Upper Limb surgery, and has been working in Canberra as an Upper Limb Surgeon since 2009. Liz has special interests in ballet, dance, callisthenics and gym injuries. She works with runners and orienteers. She is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia. Liz works mostly with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal injuries, but also with post-op shoulder surgery, gluteal tendinopathy (hip bursitis) and tendon repairs as well as other post-surgical problems. Martin is the Chief Executive of Menslink, having joined in March 2011 after a twenty-five year career in both the private and public sectors, including nearly ten years running his own business in Sydney and a few years as a senior Federal Public Servant here in Canberra. Since joining Menslink, he has expanded the reach of both the mentoring and counselling programs which now provide free services to more young men across Canberra than ever before.
