Knowledge of a second European language will be an advantage. Final decision for acceptance will be made by a Committee consisting of professors of the Department – permanent teaching staff of the programme. Also the Department of English Studies and the Department of French Studies conduct their programmes in the language of their respective disciplines. The reference letters should be sent directly to the Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies of the Department. Letters must bear an original signature and be submitted in a stamped envelope. The Department may request additional confidential information from the referees. For the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Psychology, all recommendation letters should be written on a special form, which can be found on the website http://www.ucy.ac.cy/graduateschool/en/admissions/applications-forms. For those applications submitted electronically, the reference letters could also be submitted electronically directly by the University Professors using the online application system. FEES Postgraduate Programme: Master's Degree Master Programmes: €4.100 per programme. (the reduction of 20% is included). Master in Gender Studies: €5.125. Postgraduate Programme: PhD Degree PhD students holders of master's degrees: Total fees €3.200 PhD students non-holders of master's degrees: Total fees €5.200 Each year of study, beyond the 6 years, with a maximum duration of 8 years (16 semesters) corresponds to tuition fees of €1.000 per year (€500 per semester). Maximum tuition fees for a PhD degree are €7.200. Tuition fees for the PhD programme in Gender Studies: €4.000 if a student is a holder of a Master degree and €6.500 if a student is non holder of a master degree and the PhD degree is completed within 12 semesters. Each semester beyond the 12 and up to 16 corresponds to €625 per semester.
