Overview
INTRODUCTION
Mandatory Pre session
The Trauma Nursing Core
Curriculum Course (TNCC) is a 17
hour course designed by the Emergency
Nurses Association (ENA) to provide
nurses with core and basic knowledge
and psychomotor skills that are
associated with the delivery of
professional nursing care to the trauma
patient. These contact hours include
pre-session online modules
Manual Chapters to include:
Online modules or study TNCC Provider
Bariatric Trauma Patient, Interpersonal
Violence Patient, Older Trauma Patient,
Pregnant Trauma Patient, Mechanisms of
Injury
Day 1 7:15am -5p
Intro to TNCC
Initial Assessment
Airway /Ventilation
Shock
Brain /Craniofacial Trauma
PREREQUISITES
Ocular/Maxillofacial/Neck
Thoracic/Neck Trauma
Participants must possess a current
unrestricted nursing license to
receive verification. Successful
completion of this course is directly
dependant on reading the course
material to ensure passing the written
test and one TNP skills station.
Verification is valid for four years.

ACCREDITATION
The TNCC provider course has been
approved for 17.65 continuing
education contact hours (CECH)
through ENA. ENA is authorized to
approve CECH through the American
Nurses Credentialing Center
Commission on Credentialing.

Written Test
REGISTRATION
Registration is based on instructor to student ratio.
Class size is limited to 16 participants.
Cancellations must be received in writing at least
fifteen (15) days prior to the course date.
A 100.00 administrative fee will be retained less than
15 days prior to course.
No refund will be issued for cancellations received
less than 5 days prior to the course.
