NSFAS RECRUITING MANDATE The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a public entity accountable to the Department of Higher Education and Training. It provides financial assistance to eligible students at public universities and at Further Education and Training (FET) colleges throughout South Africa. This vacancy exists in Cape Town. NSFAS is in the process of implementing a new operating model as part of its organisational transformation programme. Currently, funding is allocated to universities and Further Education and Training (FET) colleges, which then manage applications by students for funding; payment of fees; and distribution of allowances to successful applicants. In future, students will apply directly to NSFAS, and NSFAS will manage the disbursement of funds to institutions for fees and residence, and to students for allowances such as food and books. The transition to this new operating model has commenced with new processes, application design and ICT systems architecture. CORDYS INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (PERMANENT POSITION) Reporting to the ICT Senior Manager (Application Development and Support) the role will be responsible for the following main areas: Design the integration and application architecture for the operating model using Cordys BOP4 software. Work with business/system analysts to design and implement the Cordys integration environment Driving the ongoing management of the integration bus within the organization Key PERFORMANCE AREAS: 1. Implement Cordys integration bus: Implement the Cordys architecture that will meet the required functionality. Configure/build the Cordys applications to meet the organisation’s requirements. Prepare technical documentation for new and existing applications Perform unit and system integration testing. 3. Ongoing management of Cordys environment Perform unit and system integration testing. Provide support to users on Cordys. Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities to implement further Cordys functionality that will add value to the organization.
