IRM SUMMIT 2014 BREAKOUTS 16 14:25 CASE STUDY: PORTBASE PAUL SARABER Portbase is the neutral and reliable hub for all logistics information through the Dutch ports, Enterprise Architect, Portbase including one of the largest and busiest ports in Europe. In this session, Paul will discuss the Port Community System, which enables stakeholders such as cargo agents, barge & rail operators, shipbrokers, customs authorities and road haulers to optimize the logistics processes, thereby improving their own competitive position and that of the Dutch ports. Among other requirements, identity management has been a critical component in making the community solution successful. 14:50 CASE STUDY: KABEL DEUTSCHLAND MARTIN SCHIKOWSKI Kabel Deutschland, Germany’s largest cable network provider, found a trusted and reliable partner Project Manager, Web Applications, Kabel Deutschland in ForgeRock to provide secure access to its customer portal at Internet-scale, as currently circa 2.8 million customers are served through its portal. Mr. Martin Schikowski, the team lead, will walk you through the initial project challenges, which included a smooth and uninterrupted transition from OpenSSO to OpenAM, and the upgrade of the existing identity store as well as performing the necessary data migration. Schuberg Philis has been serving its enterprise customers with their Mission Critical IT, traditionally dedicated closed infrastructures, with static groups of application providers almost considered internal employees. However, companies can only stay relevant if they know how to bind experts outside the company faster in continuous reconfiguration, as we see company walls turned at rapid pace. In a changing world were IT environments are evolving for more complexity, from dedicated to shared, public infrastructure, saas providers lie on the one hand and more specialised and boutique application developers sit on the other. Schuberg Philis is therefore building a new digital service layer for employees, customers, and partners. To complete this service layer, it has seen a full AIM implementation.
