Welcome to AWCP’s 16th Annual Fall Education Conference!
Dear Members of the Workers’ Compensation Community,
The Association of Workers’ Compensation Professionals’ Fall
2014 Education Conference is just around the corner! Please
mark your calendar to join us on Friday, October 31, 2014.
In striving to create a program that brings the maximum benefit
to our community, this conference is designed to address some
of the gloomiest issues in workers’ compensation today.
Katrina Bray
Sara Skolnik, Esq.
Each year we strive to provide diverse speakers on current
topics and this year is no different! Speakers include Acting AD
Destie Overpeck from the Division of Workers’ Compensation
who will provide an update on what’s happening with the DWC.
We will also have five other sessions to unmask lingering issues
plaguing you today including Home Health Care, Spinal
Surgeries, Narcotic Overuse, Fraud, Copy Service, a Legal
Update, and ending with Cindy Parker and Kevin Confetti
speaking on Creative Settlement Tools.
Our learning approach allows all participants to understand the
issues from different perspectives and apply them to complex
situations to conquer haunting issues in work comp today.
The 4th Annual AWCP videos once again will unveil humorous
and wicked glimpses of the work comp industry through our
video vignettes.
Peter Yip, M.D.
We hope you will put this on your list of “must attend”
conferences, as it will be a real “treat!”
